USA Hockey is the national governing body of hockey in the United States. Located in Colorado Springs, CO, USA Hockey is responsible for — among many duties — development and education programs for players, coaches and officials; determining Select, National and Olympic Teams, and developing policies and procedures.
Minnesota Hockey, an affiliate of USA Hockey, is the governing body of youth and amateur hockey in Minnesota and the premier developer of hockey players in the state. Since 1947 Minnesota Hockey (formerly known as the Minnesota Amateur Hockey Association) has been providing volunteer services for the development and growth of hockey in Minnesota. Minnesota Hockey is governed by a board of directors.
Minnesota Hockey is currently divided into 12 "Districts" based on geography. These districts are responsible for organizing, supervising and enforcing Minnesota Hockey's rules and regulations within their districts, including tournaments. Districts are primarily composed of representatives from local associations, and each district elects one District Director to represent their district on the Minnesota Hockey Board of Directors.
Minnesota Hockey is comprised of approximately 150 community-based associations that serve as the base of hockey in Minnesota. Associations create teams, develop hockey players and grow the game at the local level. They are typically managed by a volunteer board of directors. Minnesota Hockey’s community-based structure is considered by many to be the premier youth hockey model in the United States and across the world!
There are three distinct advantages to the community-based model. Perhaps most importantly, this model allows players to develop their hockey skills close to home. In many other states, hockey involves significant travel and leaving home at the ages of 14-16, or even earlier to compete at a high level. In Minnesota, players get to stay at home and play hockey with their best friends from school from Mites through High School. Secondly, our associations work directly with the community in supporting hockey and maintaining a volunteer based, non-profit structure, which keeps the cost of the game down. The third benefit is in many ways a byproduct of the first two as limiting the cost and travel involved in playing hockey allows more kids to participate and learn to love the game.

that doesnt sound attractive. I have flown Virgin Atlantic (Upper Class) many times. Fun, hip with high quality service. The Clubhouse in LHR is absolutely great. I am sure they tried to have that same atmosphere with the ships.

We, like you, are looking to minimize the craziness. We have tried Oceania and liked it. Some of the X suite prices are now over $10k and starts to make smaller ships more attractive. We like the X suites because of food and service. The bonus is big ship activities after the sun goes down. Doesn't exist on O. Dinner is the activity

Virgin Voyages entertainment is very, very, very non traditional cruiseship entertainment. The shows, as such, are less big splashy production shows like you'll find on the E-class ship's main theater and more in line with what you'll find at your neighborhood bar or a small Vegas lounge act. Furthermore a few of the shows are very LGBTQ in origin and content while others feature adult risque content via audience participation shows. If you come on a Virgin cruise you must be very opened minded as to the entertainment choices or you'll be very, very, very bored.

Well the VV status match replied and matched me but its only temporary through the end of March, unless they decide to extend it. VV has teased they will be deploying an update to their loyalty program. What kills this for us are their two ships are in the Caribbean (would love to do Europe) through March

Are they offering you a comped cruise for that time period?

Some photos of the Sweets currently offered on the Valiant Lady. They are superior in quality and taste to any offerings Celebrity has and probably the best of all the mainstream lines. The majority of the offerings are land-based specialty bakery quality. They TASTE as good as they LOOK.

I'd need to reach out to URComped but really don't want to do the Caribbean anymore due to having other comped Caribbean offers booked

we be on Valiant lady in 11 days on our 3rd comp casino cruise. The FOOD is the main reason we keep coming back (and service), we have done Caribbean far too many times and may not even get off ship. We also have upcoming comp on X but likely will cancel due to all of the cut backs.

Did 30 days on SilverSea last summer and food is better on Virgin IMHO...same BS as X they cut corners all over the place. Prior to Covid, SS was our fav, but now it's Virgin. Talk about a HUGE difference in demographics!

We report on the timing jitter characterization of the superconducting single flux quantum (SFQ) coincidence circuit, which is an essential component of the superconducting coincidence photon counter. Two superconducting nanowire single photon detectors (SSPDs), each of which is irradiated with optically time-controlled photons, are connected to the SFQ coincidence circuit, and the timing jitter of the SFQ circuit is evaluated by changing the relative time delay between two input ports for the SFQ comparator unit. We successfully observe the transition curve of the probability of obtaining the signal from the SFQ coincidence circuit by sweeping photon arrival time to each SSPD and confirm that this curve shifts temporally upon changing the bias current to the Josephson transmission line (JTL) in the SFQ circuit. A systematic investigation reveals that the relation between time delay and the bias current to JTL can be estimated. The full width half maximum timing jitter of the SFQ circuit is 1.1 ps, which is sufficiently low so that it does not influence the entire timing jitter of the coincidence photon counter.

Superconducting nanowire single photon detectors (abbreviated as SNSPDs or SSPDs; hereinafter, represented as SSPDs [1]) offer the benefits of high efficiency, low dark count rate, and low timing jitter. These advantages are extremely suitable for various applications such as laser ranging [2], free space optical communications [3], and photonic quantum technologies [4]–[6]. In particular, the application of SSPDs to observe the Hong–Ou–Mandel (HOM) interference between indistinguishable photons is a promising approach to realize high visibility interference, which underpins a range of components and protocols in photonic quantum technologies [4]–[6]. In addition, the HOM interference of heralded photons prepared from a continuous-wave-pumped spontaneous parametric down conversion can be observed if the timing jitter contribution of the photon counters is smaller than the coherence time of photons; in such a case, a pulsed laser source is not required, and hence, the system configuration becomes much simpler.
