The owners of several high traffic adult "tube" sites have developed an application that enables porn studios to prevent copyright infringement at no cost. The new system initially got some press coverage on an industry news outlet, but the coverage was pulled after complaints from some of the major porn studios.

The rise of YouTube and all the adult-focused video streaming sites that followed has caused major headaches for the adult entertainment industry. Instead of having to worry about people seeding their content on BitTorrent, so called “tube sites” are now the prime threat.
The owners of these streaming sites tend to be very cooperative and assist in taking down copyrighted material when they’re asked to. In fact, the owners of several popular streaming sites have recently launched a system through which the porn studios can protect their entire catalogs for free.
The system named COP-CMS creates unique fingerprints for each of their videos. It then checks all current videos on the participating “tube” sites and removes any matches it finds and prevents the video from being uploaded in the future.
“We believe we have one the most robust systems available. Videos can be matched even if they’re blurred, resized, rotated or have sections removed. Our system is accurate enough to detect a video from just 1 second of footage,” TorrentFreak was told by David, one of the people behind the COP-CMS system.
The innovative anti-piracy solution was picked up by XBIZ, one of the leading adult news outlets, and is already in use by several porn studios. However, not all studios were equally happy about this free anti-piracy service offered by the ‘pirate’ tube sites, possibly because it directly competes with their own solution.
In the forum thread discussing the XBIZ article on the COP-CMS system, several studio representatives vent their concerns. The overall opinion seems to be that these “scoundrel thieves” don’t deserve the coverage, and not too long after the article was posted the head of leading porn studio TitanMedia replied that “It’s been taken care of…”
Indeed, the article on XBIZ was pulled from the site. “We rang xbiz.com and spoke to the editor who said they had been contacted by someone about us and now the article is “dead in the water,” Steve told TorrentFreak, adding that he never got an explanation why.
Coincidentally, the Free Speech Coalition (FSC), the trade association for the adult entertainment industry announced it’s very own anti-piracy solution on XBIZ a day later. Could it be that this upcoming competitor was one of the reasons why the other article was pulled?
If we take a look at the directors of the FSC we see that they are made up of a TitanMedia lawyer, the founder of XBIZ and the Senior Editor from AVN news. Something smells fishy here, to say the least.
Meanwhile, COP-CMS continues its free service and is currently working with several studios that are not members of FSC. On the other hand, the Free Speech Coalition might have to rethink whether or not it should change its name after this alleged gagging escapade.

Someone figured out the hell with nuance... we can have numerous women slide down a ramp { segment 3 }..legs up..like a conveyer belt and pass the censors nose by?? a wholesome " thats entertainment " musical presentation. Brilliant! Bet a lot of gentleman went home thinking some musicals aren't so bad after all.

The word for the day is LEGS! Let's all spread the word.

Liked this - fun with obvious US origins. Thought it was shame that the mono audio was single track.
Spent a little time in the studio and removed small clicks/plops and converted to stereo. Hope those who like the original find the update worthwhile.

There was a series of musical 2 reelers (about 20 minutes each) "Jefferson Machamers' Gags and Girls" I have only seen one of them in its entirety, but it was quite entertaining, It involved an artist who drew pictures of what was to appear on the screen, as well as some music in the same style as these films. anyway 5 stars for all

It's easy to act indignant over bad behavior done in the past. It is what is it. The Litnus Test: would you want your daughter acting like this? Nope. But, this is the past, so I forgive them. History is repeating itself, though and we just need to keep up the fight against objectifying anyone-- female, male, or any category of humans you wish to consider. Would you like to jump around in a box? No? OK, then, case settled.

The 1st short is forgettable, But the 2nd and 3rd are fabulous! Great music, Typical of the time. Recommend to anyone who loves oldies music.

Nothing fancy or special, just 3 little vintage musical shorts made in 1941(not 1936). The first one I personally found silly. The second-fair, the third- mediocre.

Even though it looks to be from the early 40s, the Internet Movie Database says it's produced in 1936. Good for them! Otherwise, a very nice piece and decent swing music.

Worth watching, with tounge in cheek.

Great tunes & 1940's babes in highly absurd situations. Sexy/sexist fun that will get your foot tapping, and arouse your prurient interest. Puts the average music video of today to shame. Highly recommended for everyone but the most hard-core feminists, and even they would have to stifle a chuckle or two...

This exercise in female objectification is actually a lot of fun. There are three soundies here. The first, ÃÂÃÂMale Order,ÃÂÃÂ features women a guy can purchase on approval, who arrive in shipping cartons and dance in his living room. The second, ÃÂÃÂAt Your Service,ÃÂÃÂ is all about how women, specifically carhops at drive-ins, live to serve men, even to the point of wearing skimpy uniforms and dancing on car hoods so that the male customers can look up their dresses. The third soundie, ÃÂÃÂPlaymates,ÃÂÃÂ features grown women dressed up and acting like little girls, while singing the familiar playground song. The titillating quality of this gets pretty creepy after awhile, even though itÃÂÃÂs obvious that these are grown women, especially when they bend way over to peek into rain barrels, so we can get a good look at their undies. Again, these soundies are appalling, but still lively and a great deal of fun. ÃÂÃÂAt Your ServiceÃÂÃÂ has a great retro drive-in feel. ItÃÂÃÂs this sort of combination of good and bad qualities that makes for really great ephemera.

I've seen these group of soundies before, and these are an EXCELLENT example of what what people love and hate about them:
1) Male Order is probably one of the most sexist soundies ever made as we see a man "ordering" 5 women to a co-worker. (They arrive in boxes). Their head and legs pop out and do a little dance which is surely a new low in female objectivity. He soon removes all the boxes though, all the girls are wearing shirts and short shorts. After dancing with all of them, he selects one, and to have all the others sent back, boxes and all. Crazy man!
2) "At Your Service" takes place at a car-service restaraunt, with some of the skimpiest excuses for a uniform ever seen. John C. Reilly (no not really) introduces the girl in song, and the girls take over singing a great little ditty, and
dance on the hoods of the cars (and all the while the men are looking up Up UP!)
3) "Friendship" has EVERYTHING. A Great song, attractive girls, but this takes the sexist level up a couple of notches.. Watch the girls go down the slide legs up! Up! UP! VERY VERY funny. A hoot! All of this is a MUST SEE on this site!!
