The Breaking In actress, 49, took to Instagram on Friday to share a photo of herself naked while in what appears to be a makeup chair. She covered herself with her knees and arms as she stared into the camera.
She captioned the photo, “Naked & Unafraid. The Rebirth Will Be GLORIOUS.”
Union also thanked model and actress Lauren London, whose partner Nipsey Hussle was murdered in 2019 , for inspiring her.
“PS Thank you @laurenlondon you showed up like the angel you are and dropped some knowledge & love on me that has changed the course of my life,” Union continued. “Won’t He do it. PSS THANK YOU to everyone who has taken the time to pour into me these last few months as I’ve struggled mightily. THANK YOU!!!!!”
London responded in the comments section with different emojis, including a butterfly, fairy and angel.
While it is unclear what Union is specifically referring to, the Bring It On star has long been candid about her struggles with mental health, much of which stems from surviving a rape while working at a shoe store at 19. In June, she shared a video to Instagram of herself at the Met Gala , along with a caption about having to manage her mental health at big events.
“As a rape survivor, I have battled PTSD for 30 years. Living with anxiety and panic attacks all these years has never been easy,” she began her caption. “There’s times the anxiety is so bad it shrinks my life. Leaving the house or making a left hand turn at an uncontrolled light can fill me with terror. Anxiety can turn my anticipation about a party or fun event I’ve been excited about attending (Met Ball) into pure agony. When we tell y’all what we are experiencing, please believe us the 1st time we mention it. No, it’s not like being nervous and everyone experiences and deals with anxiety differently, and that’s OK. I don’t need you to try to ‘fix’ me. I share this as I hope everyone living with anxiety knows they aren’t alone or ‘being extra.’ I see you, I FEEL you and there is so much love for you. Always. Love and light good people. Be good to each other out there.”
This is not the first time Union has stripped down for Instagram. In September 2021, she appeared topless on the social media platform to share an empowering message.
“Giving strong dancing cricket vibes but when folks ask what it feels like to be so publicly vulnerable… This right here,” she wrote at the time. “Seriously though, if you have ever felt like you might literally die from humiliation, being vulnerable can be a challenge but lemme tell youuuuuuu, it’s actually FREEDOM. Peace & joy can live side by side with vulnerability.”

While lounging on the deck of a lavish yacht off the coast of Mallorca, Spain, Gabrielle Union and Dwayne Wade posed for a series of steamy vacation pics that the “Bring It On” star shared to her Instagram Friday.
The five images reveal Union, 49, and her retired basketball player hubby canoodling, clearly not shy about packing on the PDA — from the cover photo in which Wade, 40, appears to be burying his face in Union’s cleavage, to a subsequent snap in which he is grabbing her derrière from behind while kissing her shoulder.
“It’s begun. #WadeWorldTour2022 ,” wrote the “Breaking In” actress in the caption, possibly hinting toward the pair’s ambitious travel plans in the lead-up to their eighth wedding anniversary on Aug. 30.
The power couple’s famous friends rapidly flooded the comments section with compliments — and some words of cheeky encouragement.
Singer JoJo echoed that enthusiasm: “Just fine as y’all wanna be!!!!!!” she wrote.
“LEGIT!!!” the couple’s private chef, Richard Ingraham , chimed in.
It’s hardly a secret that the lovebirds have long been inclined to indulge their wanderlust side-by-side , frequently journeying together to far-flung, breathtakingly idyllic locales. Their August 2014 wedding took place at Chateau Artisan, a contemporary French-style castle built in 2007 on a man-made island on a lake just outside of Miami.
The couple also staged some risqué snaps earlier this summer while on a luxurious getaway at Rancho Valencia Resort & Spa in Rancho Santa Fe, Calif.

Gabrielle and Dwyane packed on the PDA and got in a few other cheeky snaps for the start of their 'Wade World Tour.'
Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade are the moment. The gorgeous married couple put their enviable romance on display in a slew of sassy snaps via social media. The B ring It On actress took to her Instagram on Friday, August 19 to share the pair’s pics, where they can be seen packing on the PDA and leaving little to the imagination. Rocking an orange bikini and giving a few cheeky poses, Gabrielle captioned the post, “It’s begun. #WadeWorldTour2022.”
The stunning shots come only a few days after the former America’s Got Talent judge shared a revealing photo of herself wearing nothing but her birthday suit. Sitting with her arms around her knees in a makeup chair, the gorgeous star gave a shout out to fellow actress Lauren London in the caption, writing, “Naked & Unafraid. The Rebirth Will Be GLORIOUS. PS Thank you @laurenlondon you showed up like the angel you are and dropped some knowledge & love on me that has changed the course of my life.”
The 49-year-old beauty added, “PSS THANK YOU to everyone who has taken the time to pour into me these last few months as I’ve struggled mightily. THANK YOU!!!!!” The jaw-dropping IG was titled “Healing.”
Gabrielle, who shares children Zaya , 14, and Kaavia , 3, with Dwayne, shot to stardom in 2000’s cheerleading comedy Bring It On alongside Kirsten Dunst . However, Gabrielle recently shared that she has some regrets about her role in the film. During a visit to Good Morning America , she expressed concerns about “muzzling” her character Isis, whom she also penned an apology letter to in her book “You Got Anything Stronger?
In the movie, Isis learns her team’s choreography has been stolen by a rival team, which would make anyone rightfully angry, but Gabrielle said she felt she couldn’t play it that way. “Black girls aren’t allowed to be angry. Certainly not demonstratively angry, and I muzzled her,” she explained. “I had muzzled her and made her this gracious, decent leader, and I was still a villain in that movie. I did all that shape-shifting for a character, and then I realized I was doing that to myself, too. I wasn’t allowing myself the full range of my humanity.”
With that in mind, Gabrielle said she would have definitely made changes to her performance. “I would have allowed her full humanity, and part of being a full human is the ability to express rage when harmed,” she detailed. “When you don’t really allow yourself your full range of emotion and you muzzle your own emotions, it allows people to think, ‘Maybe what I did wasn’t that bad.’ I would have given her all the anger.”
Although she may have some reservations about the way she handled the original production, Gabrielle pitched ideas for a sequel during a Zoom reunion in August 2020 with costar Kirsten and director Peyton Reed. “The impact, 20 years later, that this movie had and continues to have, that’s awesome,” she said. “So whatever that we may one day come up with, I mean, Kirsten, maybe we’re like co-heads of the PTA. I don’t know.”
