GPT Meter does not collect, transmit, sell or share any user data. Everything the extension knows stays in your browser.

What GPT Meter does

GPT Meter is a browser extension that displays your own ChatGPT usage limits (the 5-hour and weekly rate-limit windows) as meters, charts and optional threshold notifications.

Data access

• The extension reads your usage limits from chatgpt.com using your existing browser session — the same endpoint the ChatGPT web app itself uses.
• It does not read, modify or interact with any page content, conversations, prompts or messages.
• It does not access any other websites.

Data storage

• Your settings and a rolling 14-day usage history (percentages only) are stored locally in your browser via chrome.storage.local.
• Nothing is ever sent to our servers — GPT Meter has no servers.
• No analytics, no telemetry, no tracking, no cookies, no user identifiers.
• Uninstalling the extension permanently deletes all stored data.

Third parties

GPT Meter shares no data with third parties. It contains no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
