There are two different opinions as to whether the Biblical Giants are offsprings of Sons of God and the Daughters of Men or, perhaps they were totally distinct creatures from the rest of the species, i.e. spiritual and non spiritual entities one may find in there.

The mainstream academic point of view draws its assumptions heavily based upon apocryphical Book of Enoch. However, there are several apocryphal texts attributed to Enoch, the most known of which describes them as Nephilim.

Concerning this noun occurence in Hebrew Scriptures one may compare it to other historical evidence, in a way many truth seekers do in due time nowadays.

Therefore, on the other hand we have science-fiction novels presented as serious factual studies based on quite vague statements.

Nonetheless, in the Bible, in it's most known form as it has come to our day, there appears to be one more Enoch, usually omitted as an unimportant figure in this context by modern researchers, particulary, that which is believed to be son of Cain.
