GBU-12 Paveway II

GBU-12 Paveway II — American guided bomb with laser guidance, created on the basis of the Mk.82 bomb, differs from it in the presence of a laser guidance system and wings for adjusting the flight path.

The Paveway II is installed in the GBU-10E with the Mk.84 bomb, in the GBU-12D with the Mk.82 bomb, and in the GBU-16B with the Mk.83 bomb.

• Length - 3.33m

• Diameter - 273 mm

• Wingspan - 1.34 m

• Effective range. - 15 km (in altitude)

• Warhead weight - 87 kg

In addition to improved wings, Paveway II has a self-homing guidance system that is cheaper in producing and more sensitive, which increases its accuracy and efficiency.

Paveway remains in service in most NATO countries.
