2012–13 Nebraska Cornhuskers men's basketball teamThe 2012–13 Nebraska Cornhuskers men's basketball team represented the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. Led by head coach Tim Miles, in his first season with the Cornhuskers. The team will play its home games in Bob Devaney Sports Center in Lincoln, Nebraska, and were a member of the Big Ten Conference. This was their final season at the Bob Devaney Sports Center before moving into their new arena, Pinnacle Bank Arena, for the 2013-14 season.

Jean StothertJean Louise Stothert (née Wolf; born February 7, 1954) is an American politician and former nurse serving as the 51st mayor of Omaha, Nebraska. She was first elected in 2013 and is the first woman to hold the office. She was re-elected in 2017 and 2021, but lost re-election in 2025.

2025 Omaha mayoral electionThe 2025 Omaha mayoral election was held on May 13, 2025, to elect the mayor of Omaha, Nebraska. A primary election was held on April 1, in which the two highest-placing candidates advanced to the general election on May 13. Municipal elections in Omaha are officially nonpartisan. Incumbent Republican mayor Jean Stothert ran for re-election to what would have been a record fourth term in office, but was defeated by Democrat John Ewing Jr. Ewing became the first elected African American mayor of Omaha, and the first Democratic mayor to be elected since 2009.

2028 United States presidential electionPresidential elections are scheduled to be held in the United States on November 7, 2028, to elect the president and vice president of the United States for a term of four years. In the 2024 elections, the Republican Party gained a majority of seats in the House of Representatives and Senate. Then-former president Donald Trump won a non-consecutive second term; he is ineligible for a third term as per the term limits imposed by the Twenty-second Amendment.
