Toni Nadal is the uncle and ex-coach of tennis player Rafael Nadal, the ex-coach of tennis player Félix Auger-Aliassime, and the elder brother of Spanish professional footballer Miguel Ángel Nadal. Felix Auger-Aliassime (French pronunciation: [feliks oʒe aljasim]; born August 8, 2000) is a Canadian professional tennis player. He has a career-high singles ranking of No. 6, which he achieved on November 7, 2022, making him the second-highest-ranked Canadian man in ATP rankings history and the fourth-highest-ranked Canadian player in history. He has a career-high doubles ranking of No. 60, attained on November 1, 2021. He has won seven singles titles and one doubles title on the ATP Tour, and was selected as the 2022 Canadian Press athlete of the year. Auger-Aliassime was also part of Canada's winning squad in the 2022 ATP Cup as well as the 2022 Davis Cup Finals. He won the bronze in Mixed Doubles with Gabriela Dabrowski at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Auger-Aliassime began competing on the professional tour at a young age. On the second-tier ATP Challenger Tour, he is the youngest player to win a main draw match at 14 years and 11 months old, and is one of seven players to win a Challenger title by the age of 16. He is the second-youngest to win multiple Challenger titles at 17 years and one month, and the youngest player to defend a Challenger title at 17 years and ten months. Auger-Aliassime had a successful junior career, reaching No. 2 in the world and winning the 2016 US Open boys' singles title. He also won the previous year's boys' doubles title at the 2015 US Open with compatriot Denis Shapovalov. On the ATP Tour, Auger-Aliassime made his top 100 and top 25 debuts at age 18 in a year highlighted by his first ATP final in February 2019 at the Rio Open, an ATP 500 event. He reached three ATP finals in 2019, another three in 2020, and two finals in 2021, a total of eight consecutive runner-ups out of eight ATP finals as well as the semifinals at the 2021 US Open. He is the one of only three players (alongside Novak Djokovic and John Isner) to force Rafael Nadal into a five-set match at the French Open.

Andrey Rublev defeated Félix Auger-Aliassime in the final, 4–6, 7–5, 7–5 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2024 Madrid Open. It was his second Masters 1000 title and 16th career ATP Tour singles title. Auger-Aliassime was the first Canadian singles finalist at the tournament, and the first to reach a Masters 1000 final on clay. Carlos Alcaraz defeated Alexander Zverev in the final, 6–3, 2–6, 5–7, 6–1, 6–2 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2024 French Open. It was his first French Open title and third major title overall. At 21 years and 21 days old, Alcaraz was the youngest man to win major titles on three different surfaces, having won the 2022 US Open on hardcourts and 2023 Wimbledon Championships on grass.
