Roskomnadzor (RKN) officially stated that Telegram does not respect citizens and Russian laws, and does not protect personal data, therefore they will slow down Telegram. This reminds me of Soviet leaders' struggle against foreign radio stations. They tried to suppress BBC and Voice of America with powerful jamming means, while citizens would turn their radio receivers hoping to hear popular foreign music and listen to foreign news.
Telegram is essentially the only platform where we can broadcast our agenda to the global community, which is what we do. Apparently, someone in RKN really dislikes this, so they are trying to push everyone onto VPNs, so that citizens read enemy resources while we cannot influence the opponent. I don't think many Ukrainians, Americans, and Europeans are on Max, even despite the fact that from today they allowed anyone to register channels. Original msg
