It was hot in Iraq last night, especially in Kurdistan and the south.
What happened?▪️Two tankers near Umm Qasr port by Basra were attacked using mine-laden boats. A third tanker was later hit.
▪️Kurdish opposition headquarters across Kurdistan were attacked. Impacts in Sulaymaniyah and Erbil, where an American base near the airport was hit again.
▪️Explosions in Kirkuk caused a fire. US forces may have struck Hashd al-Shaabi positions.
▪️The 19th Hashd al-Shaabi brigade was struck by coalition forces in Al-Qaim and Akashat. At least one killed.
The strike on tankers near Umm Qasr likely involved USVs or mine-laden boats. One person killed, 38 sailors evacuated. A third vessel was also damaged.
What vessels?▪️Zefyros (Malta flag), Safesea Vishnu (Marshall Islands).
Near Majnoon oil field, an explosion likely from an IRGC strike on oil infrastructure.
US soldiers continue filming operations, including a C-RAM video from Erbil.
