It took British authorities two weeks to devise another nasty move against Russia.
️The United Kingdom announced the expulsion of a Russian diplomat in response to the revocation of accreditation of an undeclared British intelligence officer Gareth Samuel Davis and his deportation from Russia.
️The Foreign Office called Russia's claims "groundless" and "unprovoked", emphasizing that the country's government does not intend to tolerate "intimidation of British embassy staff".
At the same time, the British stated that the level of mutual espionage accusations between Russia and the West has reached the scale of the Cold War era, and any further actions against British diplomats will be perceived as escalation.
️Of course, Gareth Samuel Davis is far from the last Briton who has been harming Russia, which means there will be more deportations that will continue to spin the wheel of mutual claims and accusations. It's just a matter of time.
