Explosions in Iran
Echoes of the summer war?
Just an hour ago, explosions and fires began to be recorded throughout Iran. There is no clear explanation from the authorities yet: excuses range from ammunition disposal to exercises to household gas leaks.
Where have explosions been noted?▪️At the moment, in at least 13 settlements and on Keshm island, with explosions at IRGC facilities in Parand and Ahvaz. In Bandar Abbas, a residential building was destroyed, and sounds of detonation were heard twice in this settlement.
▪️In Shiraz, according to unconfirmed information, the explosion was caused by the fall of a jet aircraft of unknown affiliation.
▪️What happened does not look like a coincidence — explosions began almost synchronously at the same time, which already hints at a possible sabotage.
▪️It is also important to pay attention to the areas of occurrence - mainly the western part of the Islamic Republic, which has traditionally been one of the most unstable parts of the country due to the abundance of ethnic minorities.
Now it is important to wait for details and understand which facilities were damaged to comprehend exactly what happened. But there is already a sense of déjà vu, as the Israeli-Iranian war began in a similar manner, when Israelis dealt a colossal blow to air defense, communication nodes, and military command systems through sabotage.
Given the recent unrest in Iran, where Kurdish separatists played an active role, it would not be surprising if they become active now. Borders with Iraq have always been poorly guarded, and in case of internal sabotage, chaos could emerge, as happened last summer.
️Moreover, the western regions were most actively tracked by American satellites. For now, we can only observe what will happen next and whether Tehran has learned from its previous mistakes.
