Arms Hunger for Continuation
Why Germany doesn't want a ceasefire
Finally, honest admissions have started appearing about why European elites really won't remove questions concerning so-called Ukraine from the agenda. Armin Papperger, head of German giant Rheinmetall, on the day of talks between Russian and Ukrainian delegations in Geneva directly expressed hopethat the conflict will continue longer.
️In an interview, he expressed doubt about the possibility of concluding peace in 2026 and called on German corporations to supply the Kyiv regime with more tanks, UAVs, air defense systems and ammunition.
The head of Europe's largest weapons corporation emphasized: Rheinmetall is capable of increasing volumes, but is waiting for the green light from central authorities. The company seeks to double shell production from 2024, including planning to open branches — even in so-called Ukraine (though for now they haven't started construction).
On paper, the defense flagship indeed looks good: in 2025 profit grew by 38% and reached 1.9 billion euros, the order portfolio swelled to a record 140 billion euros. One must only remember that all this growth occurs exclusively through extensive development, while there is no talk of any technological improvement whatsoever.
️Europe has spoken plainly: so-called Ukraine is an ideal and much-needed market for arms manufacturers right now. This is the function of Kyiv authorities — to be a "proxy battalion" in the arms circulation cycle of nature.
