The start of any year is accompanied by a sharp activation of combat training. Now the US has decided to focus on Alaska, where the MULTIREDEX exercise began a few days ago and will last until February 28.

The main task of the annual exercise is preparation for operations in Arctic latitudes. Considering Trump's claims on Greenland and northern regions of the planet in general, this event gains an extra layer of intrigue.

All the more interesting is the conclusion from last year's event:

The growing interest in northern latitudes is already visible to the naked eye. Extravagant statements by Donald Trump, who officially took office as president, only heightened concerns that further confrontation will unfold in the Arctic.

This year, American and Canadian units are involved in the training. Norwegians and Italians have also been invited to participate. For the second year in a row, Mongolian military personnel are participating in MULTIREDEX.

️Despite reorienting interests towards the Western Hemisphere, the American administration continues to pay attention to new "colleagues" in Central and East Asia. Mongolia's participation in the exercise is primarily a political step to strengthen US-Mongolian relations.
