Slide 1 of It looks so nice during the light-up in the evening of winter. However, some shops were already closed at the time Around pm. The vibe of this place is cozy. You can walk around, look at the shops handmade items but expansive and get a cup of coffee. Free entry. Not a very big place, roughly around shops. Although the official closing time is pm, some shops were closed when we went there around 6pm. Most of them are handicraft items such as candles, kaleidoscope, small wooden statues, handmade cards, decorations, etc. There's also a coffee shop inside. Photos were not allowed inside the shop. The view was quite pretty in the evening. We only had limited time here and I think the view would be better at night when all the lights have been lit up. There are a couple store that sell cute souvenir such a wooden figure. The place is small so a couple hours here should be enough. A tourist attraction in Furano where local Japanese artists sell their arts and crafts as souvenirs. The shops are in the form of wood cottages and when sunset the lights will be light up to create a more picturesque view. There are also some cafes which sell hot chocolate, milk, cakes, ice creams. If you come in the winter, you will be served a stunning blanket of soft white snow which covers the roads and creates snow hats on the cabins and snow mushrooms on the trees. Very surprising place in the middle of the forest, next to an hotel. Many cabins stores with various crafts and lovely hand-made items. Worth the trip, especially at night with all the illuminations! A quaint and beautiful place that feels out of this world. The place looks great in the day and even better in the evening when it transforms through the fairy lights that line the walkways and outline of the huts. Each hut contains a shop filled with hand crafted products which are beautiful and intricate. Worth a visit! Do expect crowd too, as taking good picture is quite impossible. This is a night place so do go at night for pictures, but note that the place closes at The small cozy wooden huts sells artisanal pieces made by local artisans. They were stunning but prices were on the higher side as expected. Pretty fairy tale like mini forest with many log cabins selling handcraft and specialty items. As we were there on weekday after 4pm, some shops were closed. Anyway do take a walk around especially the area behind where there are hot air balloons, adventure area and miniature golf course. Pity all these not available to us when we were there. It is good, actually a shopping area but the cost is way too much than the actual. So just went to enjoy the view, try to visit when it is going to be dark. The entry is free and the operating hours changes depending on the situation. Visited in December, and there is a christmas vibe feeling in a snowy winter. Small wooden cottages selling handicraft works. Late noon time when the lights are just lited look very dreamy. It became crowded in the evening when the tourist bus groups arrived. Very quaint and pretty place. However half the stores were closed or vacant. Not even a cafe was open. A pity because it was a very enchanted and fairy tale like place. Unique and hidden in cosy corner of the forest - worth a little walk around if one is into artisanal works and prices and for pictures of the architecture. Make one feel in a movie that shows part of a magical forest of special beings. The village exudes an irresistible charm, with its picturesque cottages housing a delightful array of unique shops. Each cottage offers a treasure trove of one-of-a-kind finds, making every visit a captivating experience. It's not that great. I have been to many attractions like this before across the world, so maybe I am spoiled a bit. They usually have a really pleasant atmosphere and are crowded. This place was dead, and it just didn't feel as enchanting as how the pictures make it out to be. It closes at , yet half the stores were closed when we got there at Handmade items mean everything is super overpriced. The village itself is good for some pictures, but other then that, it's not something I would say is worth visiting at all. Walk pass a souvenir zone and get to lower ground from the elevator. Not so crowded Definitely a place to take nice photos when it's empty. Too bad it's working time just until pm, so I didn't get to enter most of the shops. By the time I left, there is no more buses. The hotel staff helped me to call a taxi. My suggestion is to visit here earlier, Probably around 5pm Chill in some cafe and wait til the closing time to get good photos. Its a nice atmosphere, but not much to do. There are some artists selling their work. A lot of the stores were closed the day we went, as well as the cafe and the bar. Very nice and well planned resort! Would love to stay next trip. It's a tiny cottage village in front of the Prince Hotel. Each cottage is a shop selling handcrafted products. Some cottages have no business. I visited there around the end of July. The beside area has outdoor activities for family. Not recommend to come here during any season other than winter, still the atmosphere is chilling. Everything is green and woody. Most shops are open in summer, and weather is in mid 20s, there are quite alot of mosquitoes though. If added some light music would make the terrace more mystical. It's a nice place for photo taking with some handicrafts shop. I went during winter so its freezing cold. Entrance is free. Cute souvenirs… most stores are not open when I go there at 5pm. I nearly trip due to the uneven stones n logs. If you like art, and want to support local artist, ningle terrace is a nice place. Nobody told us that most of the shops are closed at 4 pm on weekdays. Not even the taxi deiver, Including the cafe!. So we just came at 4pm, took a quick peek at the shops, and order return taxi, and it cost yen for one way. And arrive at the station at 5. I told you it was quick. Cute little cabin village full of artists making their own goods. Fun for a visit. Definitely worth for a visit. A great moment to be here in winter. Souvenir shop is too small but there are great and so cute. Beware every step because there is many stairs here. Furano ski resort. Ski resort. One of the best ski trips I've ever had. I was lucky with the weather as it snowed every day. Convenient backcountry areas that are easy to access without any backcountry gear. Would still not advice to go alone. Visited Furano in early March, one of the best days riding in my life. Great value lift tickets, lunch, snacks and overall experience. Parking is very easy, never waited in a lift line and was able to find fresh snow in the trees. Extremely good, but the resort is quite expensive. Great runs. Lots of grommers. Gondola slow because they won't let groups share. Best powder in Hokkaido, just slightly small unless also taking Kitanomine into account, also has better lunch at 11th floor if you feel like to have one, can get really crowded during peak season, long waiting line at the gondola, try taking the lift at bottom to mid might be faster. At the resort they do provide shuttle service to skiing area or might take a 7 minutes walk if you want. They provided skiing equipment for rent 5 hours yen. There is a restaurant serve quite delicious ramen. Don't forget to drop by Ningle Terrace 4 min for some beautiful photo as well. Wonderful place worth my visit. The ski resort areas are lightly crowded on both sides. The terrain and courses are enough for an intermediate to enjoy all day. For advance skiers and snowboarders, look for gated terrains. There are many food options at reasonable prices in the main town area. It's Spring, the snow is slushy, there's barely anyone here, you could wear a t-shirt and shorts if you wanted. I'd like to have a BBQ later and down a nicely chilled beer while lounging in a deckchair. Also, they play dodgy Japanese music. You love it. Went in the second Saturday in March. It was really quiet despite the conditions which were really brilliant. We got a full day ticket and spent a full 5 hours on the resort without going to the same place twice. You can go a little off-piste pretty safely and there are signs about if you want to go all the way off how to do it safely. There are some good restaurants at the bottom that are pretty cheap. Unfortunately the one at the top of the ropeway has had a fire and is shut down for now. The only down side was the flat area going from the Furano area to Kitanomine area and the white people who decided to stand in front of the exit from the lifts to have a chat. Nice runs here. Not so busy like other areas in Japan. Kids under 13 are lift chair free. This is a great ski resort as it is not too busy like Niseko. The signage for the ski runs are very well presented. For beginners like us, we have no issues with the direction of the skin runs. The staff here was also very friendly and helpful. However the only thing we complaint is that the slopes here are little bit uneven so it will be hard for beginners to practice. Good ski resort, wide variety of runs available. Very suitable for beginners-intermediate, fewer runs for more advanced skiers and snowboarders. Many wide runs to practice freely. Nice off-piste and backcountry opportunities available. Enjoyed our experience here, the lift tickets are very affordable and the ramen for lunch is worth it, just get there earlier or later. Lots of options for rentals nearby. This is the result! The excuse is not enough snow. Even do we have a snow base of more then a meter… it seems more like they wanna keep the cost low for the operation and squeeze the most money out of it. We will never know but what we know is that it is a fraud on those who want to have a happy day in the snow!!! Super powdery snow and soft snow. Very wide lanes. I can't recommend this place enough. Came here for our skii lessons which is also at new prince furano hotel. Also had nice arts and craft village and mesmerizing crafts. We came during winter in feb. The road from kitami to furano turned quite bad as we are approaching here. Overall the slopes are amazing and the view is fantastic. Its our first time trying so we got an instructor here. The rates are abit expensive but the instructor is a pro at teaching. We learnt so much during our time here. Thank you konu-san for making the this a memorable one. Wind Garden. Slide 1 of 9. This garden is very well look after, the staff working in the rose garden is very knowledgeable and even showed us how to remove weed and where to buy the tools for it. We have a great time walking around and enjoying the garden. A nice little garden, good for a photo and a video inside the garden house, the area around the garden is beautiful and worth a 10 minute walk. A very good Garden with lots of flowers. Not too many tourist. Very relax and enjoying walk. Lots of interesting flowers. Nature lovers, it's worth to pay a visit. Lovely little garden. Very good garden and walking area managed by Prince Hotel. Beautiful but due to limited time while visiting there Can't explore more So sad It aired from to sporadically. It shows their lives! There are thee buildings actually built by Tanaka, Kunie himself. They were cozy and warm. It gave me an idea what kind of house I want to have when I retired. Hidden gem of Furano. Visited this beautiful place in the middle of April. There were no tourist crowd and we have the whole place to ourselves! The counter service man was really really nice and friendly. This place consists of 3 different location. You have to travel either by foot 15mins walk or by car 5mins drive to the next drama location. Recommend people to visit this place to support them! Overrated photo stop. Need to drive 30mins from city. Only 1 stone house to visit. You will finish within 10mins. Requires entrance fees as well. Nothing much unless you know the movie. This is a great place to come for photos on a fine day. But who knows? Translated by Google I visited it quite a while ago. It was just like the world of the dramas I saw a long time ago. At the time, a half cut at the melon shop near the parking lot was yen? I was able to eat in. It was sweet, cheap, and delicious. Translated by Google Fans from northern countries should go early!! It's been a while since I last went there before the coronavirus outbreak, but I got the impression that the facility was in a lot of trouble. Everyone was putting their hands together at the magnificent grave!! I don't think it will be possible to maintain and manage it forever, so If you are a fan, please visit early! Translated by Google I went when the weather was just right. This is a place that people from the north should definitely go and see. There is also the grave of Mr. Kunie Tanaka Mr. Goro who passed away in , so please take a drive and stop by. Translated by Google The entrance fee for the three filming locations from the northern country, a salvaged house, a log cabin, and a stone house, is 1, yen. A grave marker has been erected in memory of Kunie Tanaka, who played the role of Goro, who passed away. In the drama, the distance to the house that Mr. Jii often visited in emergencies was conveyed here, giving a sense of realism. It was on top of a hill. The melancholy sound of the soundtrack from the northern country playing gently in this facility reminds me of the scene where Goro is putting firewood in front of the stove. I often drank 1 sho bottle. I can feel Goro's back as he sees off Jun and Hotaru. Translated by Google I bought a ticket and walked slowly until I saw it. This is the building I saw on the TV drama. It's so nostalgic Both Jun and Hotaru are veteran actors now. I guess I'm getting old too There was also Goro's grave nearby. Thank you for the wonderful drama. May you rest in peace. Shouts out to Goro. I came here for the first time in about 20 years! Translated by Google I was able to visit Goro's grave, which was my long-awaited goal. I went in mid-May, and the Edd cicadas were singing loudly. The charcoal yard was more dilapidated than before. It's a place that impresses me no matter how many times I visit. Translated by Google I've finally been able to visit a place I've been curious about for a long time. An admission ticket of 1, yen is required for the three locations. There were a lot of people going around the same way. I didn't have to wait in line and was able to take my time to look around. If you watched it on TV in the past, you might want to go early. The wooden houses other than the stone house and the pure house are quite dilapidated. It goes without saying, but this is the TV I watched 30 years ago. It's been over 40 years since the beginning of the series Up until that time, they were able to make really good TV shows, but I personally don't have anything I want to watch on TV these days. I hardly ever watch terrestrial broadcasting Translated by Google Goro's final home, the stone house Last time I came, I could only see it from a distance, but this time I was able to go inside. I was moved by the fact that the stones that were piled up one by one looked like Goro's life itself. The charcoal hut that was crushed under the nest and the bath where I could stretch my legs brought tears to my eyes as I remembered those days. Perhaps because Kunie Tanaka passed away, there was also Goro's grave. Furano Winery. Very nice self-led tour that ends in a nice wine tasting segment and merchandise shop. Our day trip to the town of Biei had us stopping here. Founded in , views from here are very picturesque. Walk and read the signs if you wish. Thereafter is the gift shop. TIP: Their grape juice factory is closed until Skip everything else. A small cosy wine factory. There is free wine tasting and a piece of alcohol chocolate to try. You must be 20yr and above to get the free tasting and chocolate. It's a place where you sample self-service! Depending on the season, you get to see flowers outside. Fun winery with free tastings. They have a small exhibit showing how the wine is made. Tiny place, very little info about their wines, which were very unimpressive. Don't waste your time. Beautiful area, wines were just ok though. Generous pours of drink. Visited on Feb Also, there's a shop where you can buy wine and other wine-derived products such as wine cheese and chocolates with wine. On the first floor, you can see how they make wine through a window. At the basement, they have a wine cellar and you can see the wine making process. Second floor is a museum and souvenir shop. There is parking available. Pleasant exploring the winery and learning the process of making red and white wine! You can taste 3 wines for free and many other wines at a small cost. You can buy many selections of wine there. They accept most credit cards but not Youtrip , and they are not tax free at all. Traditional wine , unique do not compare with. France, US wine. This lapan wine. Like quite a few good reviews but A bit disappointing. What they claimed as their 2 Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot, we bought two bottles and tried one in the evening- what a major disappointment - it tasted very young and more like a Pinot Noir- looked like a Pinot too. Bought a rose but yet to try. They have a cellar below, tho nothing much to see. A nice place to visit. A 2 level building and display some local Furano wine. Reasonable price. They even have free and paid wine tasting. Beautiful area too and ample parking. Will be back. Glass Forest In Furano. Glass crafts shop. A wide range of glass art and glassware. Some very unique works. Just wish when we visited a workshop or class had been available. Very unique shop full of glassware. It comes with different type of glass design made product. Very nice hand made product. From broaches to earrings and cups and many others. Unique Furano products. It's a glassware shop, but it definitely has some unique stuff you won't see anywhere else, worth a look if you're in the area but I personally wouldn't make a special trip. Interesting place to learn about cracking glasses Staff very polite and went all their way out to explain and help with our questions be it travel related or items they are selling. But having just came from Otaru, this is like a lesser cousin. Still, is a good place to explore if you have some time. Many different kind of glass products here Amazing display of glass skills. Saw several methods, that I had never seen before. Excellent displays and very helpful staff. They made shipping our purchases home extremely easy including packing our precious purchases. The magnetic glass hour glass was inspired. I wish I had more time to visit this shop. Very nice selection of glassware, some of them with wonderful gradient colours. Large collections of glass ornaments. All are beautifully crafted as expected of Japan. Bought quite a few pieces for memories of beautiful Hokkaido. Recommend 30mins to 1hour to appreciate the glass artwork. Store staff are knowledgeable and very accommodating. Several rooms of glassware are connected offering a wide selection for every taste. The master was pretty awesome. Too bad I don't understand Japanese. I believe he was explaining what he was doing. Nonetheless, I enjoyed very much watching him do his magic. The handy work in the gift shops are amazing. I'm more into the small small glass ornaments. I'm not sure if each are hand crafty but still looks impressive especially the fine details on something so small. As expected, I could not help myself so I bought some as a souvenirs for myself of course : Appreciate if you leave a LIKE if you find my comment useful. Thank you for your support. Spend more than 2hrs there. Wanted to try making our own cups but they said heat resistant glassware making is only available on Wed. Great place to go if you're looking for artistic pieces of glassworks. Accessories, cups, glasses, decorative items, etc. There are 5 glass villages there showcasing different masters. At one end you can even view someone working the kiln. Had a great time making glass beads here I made my own little octopus! I bought a pair of earrings with lavender inside, too. Such a beautiful shop and the staff were lovely. Great selection of glass items. Prices are reasonable. Must visit when around. That was ridiculous. Delayed our itinerary by 30 minutes. Furano Ropeway. Mountain cable car. Gondola lift up the furano side of the mountian. The gondola is large and tales you up to the top at around m summit. Would've given it 5 stars if it had more food options. The Ramen Shop had a 90 minute wait time on a Thursday and I'd say it was still early season. You're better off bringing you own food and resting between sessions at the area above the Ramen Shop. Otherwise a great place to ski, not much waiting time for lifts, great dry powdery snow. And kids under 12 ride for free you still have to register them though. Ropeway cablecar nearby the Prince hotel. Worth a ride up in the summertime to get a good view of the Furano area. The round trip fee was a bit expensive but is discounted for people staying at the hotel. Small gift shop, free parking. Restaurant at the top. It's Spring, I'm snowboarding, winning! Ropeway gondola just goes back and forth all day, like it should, you don't have to wait long, jump on it, go up, snowboard down. You know how this works. Get it! Amazing experience even though didnt have chance to ski or snowboard. Just take gondola up to top to view the stuning mountain view. Great little mountain for beginners and intermediate skiiers and snowboarders! Great skiing, lots of fresh snow, grooming excellent and off piste as well and good noodle soup. Fun resort and skiing. This is the Alta of this mountain and resort. There were not very many people which was nice. Everything is good.. Other ski resort I went, there are ridges and others staff.. ATV rental service. Sports complex. Great experience , really nice staff. Followed guide Babu and rode around a snow covered golf course. A rather easy terrain for beginners. A truely magical and fun experience riding under falling snow with a picturesque backdrop. We drove about 30 minutes from the playhouse in a staff car and floated a rubber boat on the Sorachi River. The guide was from Nepal, but he spoke fluent Japanese and had a good sense of humor, so I enjoyed it. During the trip, there are attractions such as swimming in the river, jumping off rocks, and even family rafting. On the way, the pick-up staff took photos from the quay. After completing the experience of about 30 photos, you will be offered 3, yen if you send them via LINE, or 4, yen if you use CDR. Took the 10KM snowmobile. There were 4 other people that joined us and they did tandem. And we have to drive behind them. The smell of the diesel hurts my head, and it's COLD. I wish the guide could be more informative to the other guests or at least let us ride in front of them or separate the groups because we were bored and cold. What should have been a 50minute ride became an almost 2hr ride because of the slow young ladies. The guide did apologized to my husband not to me, tho , saying that if it's only us we can go faster, and ask for an understanding. But we paid for the same amount if not more expensive we took the cc snowmobile because we thought we wanted to go bit faster , so why do we have to tolerate other people's lameness for what should have been a fun ride? Other than that, it was fun. I ended up waiting LONG for the slow ladies to go far ahead and then drive my snowmobile so I can go faster. So it was stop, wait long, go, stop, wait long and go. We also provided the best four-wheeled buggy for each age group. Even more excited was the 'banana boat' that was towed by snowmobiles! The staff are also very kind and I can't thank them enough! I will definitely visit again! Did their snowmobile tour last December. Great experience driving into the snow mountains! An unforgettable experience, the cold wind blowing on your face, the vast snow scenery from the top and stepping into the deep powdery ice! Friendly staff. Activities for everyone. We enjoyed our activities with them. Reasonable price However, they still use diesel atv, smell very bad. But good place to visit. Helpful stuff, the tour guide was fantastic. Took the 10 km snow mobile package, was really fun and exciting with the awesome tour guide explaining and bringing us around the snow mobile route. This is among the cheapest snowmobile we found in Sapporo located at furano Even the snowmobile quite old but we still have fun and it's worth for value Budogaoka Koen Parking Lot. Parking lot. Visitor Centers. Slide 1 of 4. Translated by Google On the weekend at the end of June, I happened to pass by a classic car meeting and took a photo of a wonderful old car. Translated by Google We hold classic car events several times a year. Besides lavender, poppies, lilies and sunflowers also grow in the Nakafurano area. In winter, the 2 connecting peaks at nearby Furano Ski Resort host skiing and snowboarding events. Torinuma Park. Nice view of the pond, the colors change depending on seasons. Fish is present in this pond. There are also free boats. A relaxing park accessible from the city's center in 10 minutes of drive. The park is large enough to enjoy a short walk. Since it doesn't have many facilities, I felt like I was in the middle of untouched nature. Nice little pond with a small paddle boat, you can take the boat for 15 minutes around the pond for free, after that there is a small burger shop right across the street next to the river with an open seating area. A splendid pond with beautiful plant under water. Relaxing place to go in the autumn. Great place to take a stroll. Parking and bathroom is available. Quiet, well maintained. Free use of rowboat. Nice walking paths. Mosquito repellent advised. Not so good place. A beautiful pond. Quiet, relaxing and paths with lots of shade. Best-of categories in Furano. See all. Browse categories.
