Fun Places To Go In California
From Lemon Cove, through Three Rivers it is only 16 miles to the park. On our first day we "discovered" Bullene Vineyards, and bought our wine for both evenings as we enjoyed the hot tub before retiring for the evening. Restaurants in Three Rivers are not grand. The Gateway, a hop-skip from the park entrance had a menu with some nice selections and a scenic location, though the prices were a bit steep.
If traveling in the summer months with the pass open, we back track a bit. After Bodie head back to Highway 395 and south again to Highway 120 in Lee Vining and turn right for Yosemite. Make a dining stop at the Mobile gas station on your left. This is the Whoa Nelly Deli, sign posted "Restaurant" and is a low-key marvelous and quick stop for a snack, lunch or complete gourmet dinner.always delicious and very fairly priced. The Whoa Nelly Deli is only open while Tioga pass is open. Preferred seating would be outside at a picnic table with views to Mono Lake.
One place you really do not want to miss too is the Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona. Captivating canyon and breathless. Grand Canyon is a good bet for camping as well.

You will find that your mind will continually go back to the moment before your child died and wonder if you could have done anything to save him/her. When we find ourselves slipping back into the darkness of our pain, one counselor said that it is okay to go back to do whatever has helped you in the past deal with painful situations. For example, one mother found peace in going to yosemite national park each year on her son's birthday and then began to move on with her life. Recently, she found a need to go back there to bring that peace and comfort back into her life. It worked for her.
Wawona Meadow Loop - Even though this is 3.5 miles long it is an easy 2 hour hike. Yosemite half dome permit begins at the Wawona Hotel. From here, walk across the golf course on the paved road. After you cross the Wawona Golf Course, take the first left onto the unpaved fire road. This loops around the meadow.
The first words out of your mouth are being judged by those in your audience, it is simple human nature. Don't fight it, go with it. Lean into your strength at the beginning. Truly attempt to "sell yourself" to your audience in the first minutes of a presentation. Your effort will make experience better for all that are in the room, including you.
Sedona wasn't what I expected. I had read stories of vortices and hippies and was expecting to see all sorts of European crusty types with dogs, but instead it seemed to be popular with very respectable, middle-aged Americans. We were glad to see it though, and did a morning hike round Bell Rock and had milkshakes in the Red Planet Diner while admiring the alien-inspired dcor and wishing we could see it at night in its red-lit splendor.
