Full Stack Engineer

We’re currently partnering with a well- established international education and research institution on a high-impact digital platform, and we’re looking for hands-on Senior Fullstack Developers who love being in the code.
This is a long-term opportunity (initial project duration of 12 months, subject to extension) for engineers who want to build scalable systems while working closely with global stakeholders.
What you'll be doing:
* Design and develop scalable backend services using Python and Django.
* Build and maintain high-performance RESTful APIs and backend systems.
* Architect, deploy, and optimise cloud solutions on AWS (ECS, Lambda, S3, and other AWS services).
* Collaborate with frontend developers and stakeholders to deliver end-to-end features.
* Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code through unit and integration testing.
* Troubleshoot, debug, and continuously improve production applications.
What we're looking for:
* 5+ years of experience in fullstack or backend software development.
* Strong hands-on expertise in Python and Django, including ORM, REST APIs, and middleware.
* Solid experience designing and building solutions on AWS beyond simple deployments.
* Proven track record developing and maintaining production-grade applications.
* Strong communication skills with the confidence to work directly with stakeholders.
* Comfortable working as a hands-on individual contributor in a remote environment.
Nice to have:
* Experience with React or other modern frontend frameworks.
* Exposure to microservices or event-driven architectures.
* Experience collaborating with international or distributed teams.
