Four couples have laid bare what it is like to share their most intimate moments via a webcam when they close the bedroom door at night.
'Kitty and Moses' from the West Midlands and newlyweds Ari, 23, and Glenn, 39, from the south coast of England are among those who have chosen to broadcast their sex lives on the internet.
They appear on a new Channel 4 programme, Sex Diaries, which lifts the lid on what is now thought to be a $1billion global industry - with one pair even raking in a six figure salary.
According to the makers of the show, tastes are changing with fans of adult sites moving away from watching Hollywood-style polished productions to something more authentic.
Stars of the first show, Sex Diaries: Webcam Couples, 'Kitty and Moses' are from the West Midlands and perform for an ever-growing number of fans in their living room.
'It's like watching a real couple because we are a real couple,' she said.
The pair started their racy exploits as a way of supplementing their income and believe it appeals mainly to married men who don't have 'much of a relationship with their partners.

The show uncovers the fantasies of those who watch, with many admitting they enjoy seeing an authentic couple getting it on.
For the performers, there's around £400 a week to be made from inviting the general public into their bedroom.
Kitty and Moses encourage those who make contact with them to stay as long as possible, charging 85p a minute for the pleasure of being entertained.
It's often an awkward exchange as the laptop is constantly lifted into new positions to ensure they get the best shot for their viewers.
'You never know if they've gone offline because they've run out of money or finished - so to speak,' she said.

Bisexual Moses says he earns £3 for fondling his partner's breast. Although it's a 'slow start' to their lucrative day, he admits not 'many people earn that'.
The pair claim they won't even be deterred from broadcasting their intimate moments now Kitty has given birth to their first child.
'We'll carry on doing it. Maybe in a few years we'll stop,' Kitty said.
The programme also follows newlyweds Ari, 23, and Glenn, 39. The couple from the south coast of England told the programme they filmed their love life not for money but for kicks.
The money was so good I was up for it. No question about it. What we do on camera doesn't really fulfill the intimacy and the love you need in a marriage. Eddie
'We were just filming ourselves one evening and she said, "I wonder if there's anywhere we can do webcam sex?" and this is the first site we found,' Glenn explained.
They got complimented on the fact their bedroom manner is loving, not pornographic.
One night 4,000 people tuned in to watch them and they even filmed themselves having sex on their honeymoon.
'It's just a camera, it's kind of anonymous. You could do it as a cam to cam thing but we do it just for the exhibition aspect,' said security guard Glenn.
Adventurous Ari believed it had a positive impact on their sex lives and she liked the fact lots of men found her attractive.
She said: 'It makes me feel good about myself but not in a tarty way. It makes me feel better about myself I suppose.'
But the programme showed how six months after their zombie apocalypse-themed wedding their viewing figures started to drop and Ari got bored, admitting 'it's like a chore.'
Eventually the couple split and Glenn was forced to live in a caravan on his father's drive.
Although there are some people who broadcast themselves as a part-time hobby, others do it as a full-time career.
Husband and wife Emma and Eddie are one of the world’s most successful webcam couples claiming to make a six-figure salary.
Former admin assistant Emma, 23, from Phoenix, Arizona, has been webcamming for the past three years after losing her office job.
They say they have no inhibitions, making love all over the house ('This is the couch and it's leather so it's easy to clean after the show').
Emma says Eddie is the only person she has slept with and at first she worried what the world would think of her body.
'After I started doing it and people liked my body it made me happy and gave me a little bit of empowerment,' she explained.
When illegal immigrant Eddie was sent to prison, Emma continued performing with her best friend Nicole to keep their high-flying lifestyles afloat.
'We do girl-on-girl shows together,' she said.
They perform several times a day, 3-5 days a week in order to make a decent income. Emma admits it's difficult to have sex so many times and 'bacterial infections frequently happen'.
She also admits to working when she is on her period.
Although Emma's 'conservative Christian family' aren't happy with her line of work, she has no intentions of stopping.
She said: 'I don't regret a thing I've done. There's a reason for everything in life.'
After husband Eddie was deported back to eastern Europe she decided to go with him and recruited new people to start a webcam business over there.
Eddie was attracted by the financial aspect. He said: 'The money was so good I was up for it. No question about it. What we do on camera doesn't really fulfill the intimacy and the love you need in a marriage.'
But other couples reveal this isn't just a community for quick sexual thrills.
As well as having sex, Angel and her partner Dagone also play games and chat to their webcam fans.
'Some of my most popular videos are of me washing up and vacuuming,' she explained.
Webcam is their sole source of income and they have used the money to fund a once-in-a-lifetime trip, which has seen them visit all 52 American states with their motor home and seven pets.
