Okay, some people may think this is very disturbing. I mean, the kids look like they're 10... there's this guy who has sex with the kid... and the three kids have a threesome together. Oh, and Pico and Chico watch Chico's sister masturbate. That's all I can say about that. But I would recommend it for some disturbing thoughts!
Japan how can you make disgusting things. Eating poisonous fish - blowfish called fugu. Weird vending machines. Gory game shows. (No offense to any fans) Electric Solider Porygon. Boku no Pico.
I'm not even going to explain. 3 little boys that have sex. Has so many disturbing features in it I'm not going to explain. It's a hentai, yaoi shotacon anime and I highly suggest you don't watch it.

My all time favourite anime, Higurashi tells a compelling story through the development of characters and the excessive use of gore. While the plot is confusing the first season, the second later goes on to explain just why time is looping and the answer is more disturbing than you could imagine. Every act of violence isn't without a purpose, which is the most horrifying part of the anime. The story is told through arcs which loop back through time, revealing key pieces of information in exciting, fresh ways each time. If you like mystery and gore, this anime is definitely for you.
Higurashi is a complex story with many ins and outs. If you can get your hands on KAI I suggest you watch it if you want just a generic kind of, explination. It tells us that the whole thing is in a loop and Rika the shrine maiden is stuck and trying to get out of the loop but things keep happening. It's damn confusing and I'll be really grateful if some explain me, who in this series is the killer because everybody is messed up by some drug. Anyway, some scenes are awesome!
This show is indeed confusing and disturbing but the second season is actually a very happy ending.
It's an amazing anime, but yes, I have to agree: It's pretty disturbing, especially the death scenes. And some of the characters are also pretty crazy, just the way they ACT. Don't get me started on Number 35.
This is one of my favorite animes but has some sick incest that bothers me! Oh, and let's not forget myu's sick stepfather who basically molests her. If all of that we're taken out it would be 10/10 anime. But I have to give it 9/10.

This anime is very disturbing. I've watched it only because my friend recommended it to me but after episode 6 or so, I was done. It freaked and grossed me out so much. I mean, the two girls are practically just trying to get the brother to make out with them the whole time. There was this one episode too where the boy was trapped in a storage closet with some random girl from school and she needed to use the restroom and pissed all over the boy. GROSS! After that, I just couldn't watch it anymore.
This was disturbing as hell. It's disgusting, to top it off they got open support from the parents. They aren't blood related, but growing up with someone all your life should make them feel like siblings, not your objects of fantasy. Moreover all the episodes have a lot of mature content. That's alright since it is 18+ but this felt like more of a bizarre Hentai ride rather than contain any proper plot. All the girls exhibit bizarre sexual symbolism and have little personality.
This is horrendous...it's the worst possible way to trivialise sibling relations, objectify women and put men in a bad light, and it shocks me how they think slapping boobs and panty shots everywhere can cover up its lack of a decent plot. Yes, it's not that far off from being as nauseating as Boku no Pico.
I actually enjoyed this anime and watched the whole thing plus all the OVA's... and I'm only 12.
Had a great ending but in between it's quite the stomach turner. I loved it the last episode is full of blood though.

This anime is good, it is able to make the person watching it feel really, REALLY bad.
This anime totally scared me to death. I rarely get scared but this anime is simply taken to a whole new level of gore and disturbance. If you are gonna watch this anime be prepared to not sleep for 3 nights (probably more). I highly do not recommend this anime if you are paranoid or you get easily scared.
This was the one Anime (or cartoon) that I have ever found to be truly disturbing. Although it is great and I highly recommend it, think twice about watching it because no matter your age, you will be thoroughly disturbed by it.

How did nobody else write something on this one? Shame, shame! Seriously speaking, now: NaTHaT is a criminally overlooked gem. As most who have seen it will tell you, it's themes are really heavy (the reason I even gave it a look was because I heard it was basically "Berserk-dark Isekai", though I personally feel that that's debatable), and the plot and setting are quite unique. It's worth a watch, despite the dub being "meh" at times. It's a harrowing but thoughtful experience, and I'm honestly disappointed it doesn't get mentioned more often.
Easily one of the Moses messed up pieces of animation to ever exist and that's why we love it. The only animated film that matches it it where the dead go to die but that's American so I can't vote for that.

This anime is my god damn religion, and it has been since I was 12. It is so bloody that it's actually hilarious and although It's not really scary, it is disturbing and I definitely wouldn't recommend watching this if you have a weak stomach.

It's very gory so the gore scenes are censored because it was too graphic. It shows graphic mutilated corpses.

This show... I like it, but it is messed up! A teddy bear (not really a teddy bear but you get the point) forcing a bunch of high schoolers to murder each other, and then executing the murderer if they're caught, and if they're not caught executing all the innocents? Somebody tell me how that's not disturbing! Yet I can't stop watching it, and I think many people get that feeling.

Dark means a lot of things. So by dark, what I mean is: violent, deep, psychological anime .
Some of which includes sexual content and violence.
Not surprisingly, most anime ‘s aren’t within the horror genre. Because most shows are for 12+.
So if you’re sick of seeing that, check out these 29+ dark anime series with some of the best action, plots, stories and themes.
What makes School Live such a dark series? This anime explores mental health problems like: PTSD and psychosis.
The main character: Yuki Takeya is put through a large amount of emotional distress… And she becomes delusional in order to deal with her reality.
Going as far as “talking” to herself as if she’s having a real conversation with someone who’s already dead.
The story takes place during the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse. I’ve never enjoyed or experienced a horror series like School Live before.
I’d recommend it if you want something short and captivating.
This anime is about a 15 year old girl who travels the world on her motorbike. Exploring towns, cities and countries for 3 days at a time.
The motivation behind this behavior is to avoid getting too comfortable with her surroundings.
I’ve never enjoyed such a strange anime series before. I’ve watched Mushishi but it wasn’t as good as Kino’s Travels.

Does this sickening anime even need an introduction?
This is a romance anime with a dark, seriously messed up plot twist.
I’m not even sure there’s an anime as twisted and gritty as this. Especially not within the romance genre.
It’s an understatement to say it’s crude .
Due to family circumstances, Yuki has only one belief: money will make his little sister happy. And thus, he works part-time jobs late into the night.
In Future Diary you’re forced to play a game which involves your own life.
But the downside is: once you die, you DIE. And each character has their own perks.
That aside, the main character: Yuno Gasai is dangerously insecure and clingy.
And that’s not even the least violent, mature part of this psychological series.
Similar to AOT, a type of monster called: Gastrea is driving the human race to extinction.
Or I should say it has the potential to. Not the most original story, but the action, mystery, and mature themes make up for it.
Easily one of the most enjoyable action series I’ve watched.
A type of ancient relic, called: Tattoo’s are in danger of being captured by the Kingdom.
A martial artist called: Justice is dragged into this mess when a strange man merges a tattoo into his hand.
This anime is action-heavy like Akame Ga Kill . And the violence will either disappoint or keep you interested. As it’s quite extreme.
The government is corrupt, society basically lives their lives like slaves, and one group of assassins are sick of it.
So: they form a group called Nightraid , with the intention to overthrow the capital and create a revolution.
Few mature anime can compete with Akame Ga Kill ’s intense action, entertaining fights, and depressing violence.
At Yomiyama North Middle School, students and teachers have been known to die at random. Because of a dangerous event that occurred in the past.
It’s not my most favorite horror/mystery series, but the main character is satisfying enough.
As far as gore, this anime takes it to the extreme. And death is both vile and obscene.
What happens when you die? Death Parade answers that question with a twist.
When you die, you’re sent somewhere between heaven and hell.
You’re then put through a series of tests to see whether you deserve to be sent to heaven or hell.
This is a game/psychological series with seriously dark, mature and attention grabbing themes.
When you create a human-like experiment that goes wrong, you can’t be surprised by the consequences.
And yet that’s exactly the basis of this story.
