Seo Yi-ra is checking the record after crossing the men's 500m finish line at the 4th International Skating Union (ISU) Short Track World Cup held at the Mokdong Ice Rink in Yangcheon-gu, Seoul on the 17th. Seo Yi-ra took second place and won the silver medal.

After retirement, from coach to player again. Although he had a 5-year gap, his skills were still intact. This is the story of Seo Yi-ra (31, Hwaseong City Hall), the national short track team player.

Seo Yi-ra participated in the KB Financial Cup International Skating Union (ISU) Short Track World Cup 2023 held at the Mokdong Ice Rink in Yangcheon-gu, Seoul on the 17th. -24 (4th World Cup) He recorded a time of 41.205 seconds in the men's 500m final and won a silver medal.

Seo Yi-ra crossed the finish line second after Liu Shao-ang (China, 41.196 seconds) and collected her first individual medal this season.

It was a disappointing match that allowed a reversal due to Liu Shao-ang’s ‘putting his foot out’ just before crossing the finish line, but Seo-ra still smiled. This is because it was a medal that was more valuable to Seo Yi-ra than anyone else.

Seo-i-ra was once a key player in the short track men's national team. He won the overall championship at the 2017 World Championships and also won a bronze medal in the 1000m at the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics.

But he suddenly disappeared. After competing in the World Championships after the Olympics, he did not participate in the national team selection match the following season and has not been seen since.

Seo Yi-ra is sprinting in the men's 500m final at the 4th International Skating Union (ISU) Short Track World Cup held at the Mokdong Ice Rink in Yangcheon-gu, Seoul on the 17th.

The period of not playing a game has exceeded 3 years, and it has been confirmed that he is working as a coach and has retired from active duty. I had a lot of regrets because he was young, not even 30 years old. 스포츠 토토사이트

Then he came back. Last November, he announced his return to active duty with a surprise appearance at the Prime Minister's Cup held in Korea. He showed off his rust-free skills by winning the 500m title in that competition, and returned to the national team by finishing third overall in the 2023-24 national team selection.

And this is what he did in his first season, the World Cup. With nothing to do, he won his first medal at the 4th competition held at home. It has been 5 years and 9 months since Seo Yi-ra won an individual medal at an international competition since winning the 1000m bronze medal at the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics.

Seo Yi-ra said, “I retired and worked as a coach before returning, and at first “I regretted it because it was a lot harder than I thought,” he said. “But I am happy and satisfied that I was able to win an individual medal at an international competition for the first time in almost six years.”

He also maintained his cheerful personality. Regarding the scene where he was overtaken at the last minute of the finals, he said, "I thought I won and celebrated, but unfortunately I ended up in second place," and laughed, "I was very nervous, but I'm glad I was able to get a good result at the end." 슬롯
