James Reece is an ambitious aide to the U.S. Ambassador in Paris, doing little jobs for the CIA and hoping to get into black ops. On the night he and his girlfriend, Caroline, become engaged, he's told to pick up Charlie Wax at Orly. Charlie is an unorthodox government employee - large, bald and bearded, foul-mouthed and eccentric. Charlie immediately takes James on a wild ride of murder and mayhem, through ethnic enclaves. As bodies pile up, the purpose remains opaque to James. Caroline, unhappy that James has been out of touch for a day, tells him to bring Charlie for dinner. Charlie can be charming - where will it lead? Does the chess-playing James have what it takes?
The assistant of the American Ambassador in Paris James Reece is an aspirant spy working in minor jobs for the CIA. James lives with his fiancée Caroline and expects to be promoted to the special operations. When James is assigned to drive the unconventional but efficient agent Charlie Wax in Paris, James learns that a terrorist cell is preparing to attack the American delegation and he is close to the key element that will explode the group of representatives of his government.
Would I watch this movie again? Yes I was not sure what to expect from this movie. But, I decided to watch it. And long and behold, its one which you should not miss if you are into guy movies like me. Lots of action, good lines, fast pace and a bit of a story. What else can a guy ask for? More hot chick scene? Action: Travolta has all the moves and faster then all the bullets which blast by him. He kicks butt and then some.

Speech and dialogue: There were one liners, yes. But the fast talking Travolta was entertaining and was very complimentary with his co-stars Chemistry and pace: The characters were good with each other. Meyers and wife was good. Made me believe. The action and fast talking move the movie along. From building to building, it was good to have different locations to kill bad guys.

Story and Plot: Its all there in the synopsis, where a guy wants more action and he got it.

Hotties and love scenes: just one simple scene

Ending: Ending is good as I feel like it completed the movie. No real loose ends. (I hate movies where the ending leaves you dissatisfied)
First I want to add that this movie was worth the $8 I paid to go see it! If you are simple minded this is a good movie. I say this because through most of the movie I was confused on why certain things were happening. (Besides the main plot of doing a terrorist attack) You never really find out who Wax is besides a crazy bad ass who is working for the CIA. You never understand how the beginning of the movie was a drug raid turning into a prevention of a terrorist plot. I believe that there are a lot of unanswered questions with the plot (this is a good thing for endings) but there are times where you wonder, "What?". I will say I absolutely enjoyed how Reece's girlfriend happened to be one of the terrorist. Not one but the MAIN terrorist. I definitely didn't see it coming and I believe Meyer's did a good job on his part. It even looked like he didn't see it coming! Usually foreshadowing in movies leads up to these sort of things but not for this one. Total shocker and I loved the shock! Also, you can decide your own ending when it comes to the question of love. Did Caroline fall in love with Reece while sneaking information from him? In the end there is a scene where she is going to click the bomb and when Reece said something about "love" she paused for a second. When I saw this scene I believed she was thinking about how she loved Reece and wouldn't want to blow him up. But a few scenes earlier she was "lovey dovey" with a terrorist. She did end up ALMOST blowing the place up. But there was a hesitant moment which made you wonder.

Cheers!
To his credit, Travolta hams it up with the kind of laissez-faire irony that might have made the film a tongue-in-cheek pleasure, had his attitude extended to the filmmakers.
