"The Morning Show" star also talks about her upcoming Apple TV+ series with Reese Witherspoon and how she handles all those ridiculous tabloid stories about her.
Jennifer Aniston is one of the busiest actresses working, but she made time to visit her better-than-with- Reese-Witherspoon friend Ellen DeGeneres on Wednesday.
And the upcoming "Morning Show" star and "Murder Mystery" star is already planning her next huge venture, and she doesn't need anyone to co-star with her. In other words, she's tired of waiting for Courteney Cox , Lisa Kudrow , Matt LeBlanc , Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer .
Aniston also commented on Cox's recent throwback pic down memory lane to just before the "Friends" pilot premiered, remembering the last thing the cast was able to do without getting recognized. And now, 25 year later, they're just as famous as they were when they had the number one show on television.
Perhaps that's why Aniston has come up with a judicious response to seeing any tabloid newspapers lying about that might have some new sordid story about her, or even purported pictures of her in the nude.
Don't get her wrong, Aniston is not ashamed of taking nude or topless photos, nor does she have any problem with nudity in general. "I'm not ashamed of that," she told DeGeneres. "No one should be."
The actress elaborated in her recent interview with Harper's Bazaar , which featured a topless photo, saying, "I think our bodies are beautiful, and I think celebrating them and being comfortable in them—no matter what age you are—is important. There shouldn't be any kind of shame or discomfort around it."
She also made sure to make it clear that "I'm covering my breasticles. There's nothing offensive out there for anyone unless they think breasts themselves are offensive."
Even all these years after she was one of the biggest stars on television, Aniston still finds herself regular fodder for trashy tabloids, though she admits that she finds some of the stories they come up with both ridiculous and hilarious.
"I heard that I got a million dollar body makeover. So there you go" she said gesturing to her physique. "Only cost a million dollars."
As for how exactly that works, Aniston mimed just pulling everything up. "You just sort of lift it all and the tie it, snip, throw it out."
And that's exactly what she does with tabloids at this point. "I throw those away whenever I go into any kind of doctor's office ... or anywhere," she explained. That's one way to make her point. And also, for anyone who's ever had an appointment with Aniston and wondered where their waiting room magazines went, well now you know.
Last month, Courteney Cox shared an amazing throwback pic of six friends before they were "Friends." The shot was taken in a plane on its way to Las Vegas and Aniston said she remembers it quite vividly ... and not just because she's afraid of flying.
This was after they'd started filming "Friends" but before it had premiered on television. And yet, legendary director James E. Burrows had an inkling about this sextet. And so, he concocted this trip to Las Vegas with them before anyone knew who they were.
"He gave us all a big speech about how we need to-- The show, he believed, was going to be quite successful, and so this world can be pretty dark and you guys gotta really stick together and take care of each other," Aniston recalled of that trip. "And we took that to heart for sure, obviously."
"Then he handed us each a couple hundred bucks and said, now go into the casino and go gamble because this is the last time you'll be able to walk into a casino anonymously," Aniston continued. "And we had no clue what he was talking about. We were like, What do you mean? And sure enough, that was the last time."
The rest, of course, is history as Aniston and her newfound "Friends" would go on to star on one of the biggest television shows in the history of the medium, and one with such a rabid fanbase still that they nearly rioted when Netflix considered removing the sitcom from its service.
At this point, there's been talk of a "Friends" reunion for basically the past 15 years since the show went off the air. Will it ever happen? The girls keep blaming the guys, but this time around Aniston said the girls would do it and, after a pause, added that the guys would do it?
Is she hiding something? Are they planning something for that 25th anniversary?
If not, Aniston has an idea of her own "I can do it by myself," she said. "Who needs the others; they just take me down."
DeGeneres offered her own services as Aniston's quirky neighbor always popping in with a cup of sugar or something, and "Friend" was born. Is it a ridiculous idea? Sure. Would millions of people tune in to watch it? Absolutely. If nothing else, we should at least get a skit. And then maybe surprise us with a few "Friends" dropping by to visit Rachel and her new friend Ellen.
Already picked up for two seasons of ten episodes each on Apple TV+, Aniston stars alongside Reese Witherspoon and Steve Carell in "The Morning Show," a behind-the-scenes look at the titular industry. But the show itself was picked up in 2017, and things are quite a bit different here in mid-2019.
"It basically has been writing itself over the [past year], because when we sold it, it was a completely different pitch," Aniston said. "And then #MeToo happened and that was, like, well, you gotta rethink this baby. So it's sort of been this incredible, incredible experience."
Of course, she's referring to the massive movement that's swept through Hollywood and beyond holding powerful men -- and some women -- accountable for sexual harassment, as well as unsafe and unequal work environments for women. Two of its highest-profile figures who've lost their jobs over allegations of inappropriate behavior are morning show mainstays Charlie Rose and Matt Lauer.
To ignore the impact of that on the morning media landscape -- as well as the movement at all -- would be grossly irresponsible, so it's great to hear that Aniston, Witherspoon and the rest of the team have taken the time to make sure their show is speaking to the morning show environment as it is now.
"The Morning Show" stars Aniston, Witherspoon, Carell, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Billy Crudup, Nestor Carbonell and Mark Duplass. It is one of the launch series for the new Apple TV+ subscription service, launching in September 2019.
In the meantime, she can be seen starring alongside Adam Sandler in the Netflix original film, "Murder Mystery," premiering June 14.

The actress finally answers the fan question.
Jennifer Aniston's Friends character Rachel Green was all over the #freethenipple campaign long before freeing the nipple was even a thing. Of course, we love her for it. But fans have been wondering why her nipples are so prominent in the show - or if it was an accident - and finally we have an answer.
Everybody loves Friends, and in particular, Jennifer Aniston's character Rachel Green seemed to be the ultimate trendsetter. Thanks to her incredible hair, amazing fashion and a transformation from rich daddy's girl to high-flying fashion buyer, fans were kind of obsessed with everything she did - and, er, does.
If only she ditched that whiny Ross on the season finale and jetted out to Paris...
But there's one thing that's left fans puzzled about Rachel over the years and that's why her nipples made so many appearances. Not that it's a bad thing - they were bloody legendary - but she was basically the OG for the #freethenipple movement.

Fans have come up with their own theories. Some have said they think the wardrobe team did a Mean Girls and cut holes in Jennifer's bras to make her nipples show through (really?), while others assumed it was just a personal choice that the actress made behind the scenes. Or maybe it wasn't even a conscious decision?
One fan tweeted in 2015: "Did you know that Friends' producers told Rachel and Monica to cut holes in their bras to show their nipples?"
Other fans believed it was Jennifer who insisted on taking a pair of scissors to her outfits. Someone else tweeted, "You do know she made wardrobe cut holes in her bras so nips would show."
Over the years, Jennifer Aniston has finally answered the burning question, and unsurprisingly, her answer is pretty flawless.
Asked by Vogue about it in August 2017, the actress explained that there was no real rhyme or reason to it, but that she was proud of the way her boobs are. AMEN.
"Yeah I don't know what to say about that!" Jennifer said. "It's just one of those things, I guess. I wear a bra. I don't know what to tell ya! And I don't know why I'm supposed to be ashamed of them - it's just the way my breasts are. But hey, OG, I'm not going to complain!"
Glad that's finally been cleared up. Or should we say nipped in the bud? And kudos to Jen for being so candid and honest; we all have nipples and, unsurprisingly, they don't all come in the same shape and size, but it's nice to be reminded of that by the ultimate Hollywood star.
