I have given the order to increase the number of nuclear warheads in our arsenal. We will no longer provide data on the size of our nuclear arsenal.

According to publicly available data, France has 290 nuclear warheads (3rd in the world, but not more than 3% of the world's known nuclear arsenal). To date, France's only nuclear weapons carriers are 4 strategic nuclear submarines of the Triumphant type, each of which carries 16 M45 or M51 intercontinental ballistic missiles.
