French Political Polling: The Numbers and Their Context

The French political polling landscape in 2025 presents the specific picture that French political polling has been presenting since the 2022 elections produced an Assembl�e Nationale without a stable majority: a fragmented field in which the traditional left-right axis has been supplemented by the Macronist centre and the Rassemblement National right, producing a polling landscape in which every major party is positioned at 15 to 25 percent of voting intention and the majority formation question is the dominant political calculation. The current polling numbers: the Rassemblement National leads at approximately 33 percent; the left coalition (NFP) at approximately 28 percent; the Macronist bloc at approximately 20 percent; and the traditional right (Les R�publicains) at approximately 8 percent. The numbers produce the strategic question of which coalition is mathematically possible and politically coherent, which is the calculation that has been producing government instability since 2022.
