About the Role
We are looking for a skilled WooCommerce Web Developer to join our network of freelance developers on a project-by-project basis. This role is ideal for developers who can accurately transform our approved website drafts into fully functional WooCommerce websites.
Our internal design/development team will provide the website draft or reference. Your primary responsibility is to recreate it with pixel-perfect (1:1) accuracy, ensuring the live website matches the provided design while maintaining excellent performance and responsiveness.
This is a project-based opportunity with no fixed monthly salary. Developers will be engaged only when projects are available.
Responsibilities:
* Convert approved website drafts into fully functional WordPress/WooCommerce websites.
* Recreate designs with pixel-perfect (1:1) accuracy, matching layouts, spacing, typography, colors, animations, and interactions.
* Build responsive websites that perform seamlessly across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
* Customize WooCommerce pages, including Home, Shop, Product, Cart, Checkout, and My Account.
* Develop custom WooCommerce functionality when required.
* Customize WordPress themes and plugins as needed.
* Integrate payment gateways, shipping methods, and third-party APIs.
* Optimize websites for speed, SEO, and Core Web Vitals.
* Troubleshoot bugs and ensure quality before deployment.
* Communicate project progress and meet agreed deadlines.
Qualifications:
* At least 3 years of professional experience with WordPress and WooCommerce development.
* Strong experience building and customizing WooCommerce websites.
* Ability to recreate website designs with pixel-perfect (1:1) accuracy.
* Experience converting Figma, Adobe XD, or completed design references into live WooCommerce websites.
Strong proficiency in:
* PHP
* HTML5
* CSS3
* JavaScript
* jQuery
* MySQL
* Experience customizing WordPress themes and WooCommerce templates.
* Familiarity with WooCommerce hooks, filters, and template overrides.
* Strong understanding of responsive web development.
* Experience using Git for version control.
* Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and deliver projects on schedule.
