SafeBadge partners with businesses across California to replace outdated safety training with custom, AI-generated videos built around each company's real operations — we take each client's written safety programs, convert them into a professional training video using AI avatar technology, and deliver a platform where employees watch, get tested, and earn a timestamped digital compliance badge the moment they pass. To do that at scale, we need skilled freelance contractors to make those videos happen.
This is a one-time project per client. Contractors who deliver quality work are offered additional client projects on an ongoing basis — producers consistently meeting our standards can expect a steady pipeline of work rather than one-off projects.
Your job is to take a client's existing written safety program, convert it into a clear spoken-word teleprompter script, produce the training video using HeyGen, and deliver finished MP4 files ready for upload to the SafeBadge platform.
*YOU WILL*
* Be given the client's written safety program
* Rewrite the content into clear, conversational spoken English formatted for AI avatar delivery — removing policy language and legal formatting that sounds unnatural when read aloud
* Format the completed script for HeyGen's teleprompter field — no symbols, brackets, or markdown that would be read aloud by the avatar
* Submit the completed script for client review and approval before any video production begins
* Generate AI avatar video clips for all modules using HeyGen — selecting a professional avatar and voice appropriate for safety training
* Source 3 to 5 licensed stock footage clips per module from Storyblocks, Shutterstock, or equivalent
* Create module title cards and lower-third text overlays in Canva or equivalent
* Edit all elements together with background music in DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, or CapCut
* Export finished 1080p MP4 files — one per module — clearly labeled and organized for SafeBadge upload
*REQUIREMENTS*
* At least one completed corporate, compliance, or e-learning training video in your portfolio — link required with application
* Experience using HeyGen or a comparable AI avatar video platform
* Comfortable in DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, or CapCut for timeline editing, audio mixing, and MP4 export
* Strong plain-English writing ability — you can take dense policy language and make it sound natural when spoken aloud
* Ability to source and license stock footage
* Self-directed — you can receive a written document and a deadline and deliver without constant direction
*NICE TO HAVE*
* Familiarity with workplace safety training content
* Experience with Canva Pro or After Effects for on-screen graphic creation
* Spanish-language production capability
*PROJECT DETAILS*
* 100% remote — work from anywhere
* Fee: $500 to $750 per project — based on the number of written safety programs the client has on file. Final fee confirmed after scope review with SafeBadge.
* Timeline: Confirmed after scope review — typically 2 to 4 weeks depending on the number of programs
* Payment: 50% on project start, 50% on final approval of all delivered files
* Two rounds of revisions included per module
* Repeat work: Contractors who deliver well are prioritized for additional client projects — no reapplying, no competing
