Next up is @2emedanger who joined Shelter for the east coast leg on the Shelter Tour. He’s been around for awhile now but was brand new to me so I didn’t know what to expect. When I first saw him walk on stage his costume reminded me of The Iron Giant, I would later discover it’s based upon the Black Mage character in Final Fantasy. After the first two nights I understood that Danger’s sets were dark and potentially too intense for me. It wasn’t until Boston—when they played in a venue with theater acoustics (the Orpheum)—that I could hear all the nuances in his music. Danger’s attention to detail is insane and I think he’s ahead of the times here in the US. It’s a shame that it gets lost inside American venues with sound systems that were never built to handle dance music.
I think I’m ready to dig into this. This past November I pulled a Penny Lane and followed two of my favorite artists (@porterrobinson and @madeon) on tour with friend I met through Twitter (love u Dani @distorted_city) but we had never met in real life till tour. Four shows in four different cities: Toronto, Montreal, Boston, then NYC all within the span of about six days. I’m thankful to work for a company where my schedule is so flexible because this was absolutely a once in a lifetime opportunity. I’ll be posting some of my favorite shots and gifs from the Shelter Tour and writing about my experiences during the next week or so. This practice and these photos might feel redundant to you, but these moments are special to me. If I don’t take the time to share them now then they will end up in the “never see the light of day” pile discussed on my 1/365 photo. This is me outside the venue in Montreal, smiling but wishing I was taking a nap after an early 5 am bus.

It had always been a dream of mine to follow an artist on tour. When I heard that Porter @porterrobinson and @madeon were merging their most recent projects, Worlds and Adventure, I knew that this was the opportunity I had been waiting for.
What a week. So many memories to share. Four shows in four cities; traveling across North America, meeting friends I met on the internet in person. Madness. I’d do it all over again in a heartbeat.

Today I visited the final resting place of my sweet Subaru. If you know me, then you know how emotionally attached I am to my car, I am devastated that we have to part ways. We had a great run, rest in power Subee 🚗
