A pregnant Fox News anchor is calling out those who criticized her maternity clothes (iStock)
Just because news anchors are in the public eye doesn’t give people the right to criticize their attire. So when “Good Day Chicago” host Kristen Nicole received harsh criticism over her on-air maternity attire, she decided to call it out.
“LET ME SAVE YOU SOME TROUBLE: My email address is Kristen.Nicole@foxtv.com, but if you're writing to tell me that you're offended by the sight of my baby bump, don't hold your breath waiting for a response. It's not coming. I wear this dress probably once a month. No one has EVER had a problem with it. Wear it almost 8 months pregnant?? Whoa...disgusting, right? (insert massive eye roll),” Nicole wrote in a Facebook post.
The nearly eight-month-pregnant news anchor reportedly received multiple emails from viewers who had a problem with a dress she wore on TV. Nicole posted three images of herself in the purple sleeveless lace-up dress, once wearing it in 2016, once in 2017 and again on Wednesday. The only difference between the three images is that she’s pregnant in the most recent photo.
The anchor said she received three separate emails Wednesday, all with comments on her attire. One from a woman accusing her of wearing a fake baby bump to "boost ratings," another asking "when will you start wearing dresses fit for pregnancy" and then the last from a person telling her to "stop wearing tight dresses — they don't do you any favors," according to AOL .
Nicole addressed the people in her Facebook post: “To Karen, Gene and Sabrina who wrote to me today, use your time better. Pay someone a compliment. Do a good deed,” she wrote.
She also expressed her gratitude to those who’ve been supportive.
“To everyone else who has sent messages of congratulations and well wishes, you are keeping me motivated through these last 6 weeks," she said. "We're finally in the home stretch! I have had a healthy, comfortable, stress free pregnancy. My husband, son and I are beyond excited to meet our new addition. Thank you for being a part of our journey!”
This isn’t the first time a pregnant on-air personality has been shamed for her clothes. Just last week, a Canadian meteorologist clapped back at the people who called her maternity attire “disgusting.”
"I'm a firm believer that my body and your body is no one's business but your own,” she said of the hurtful comment.

RUMORS are circulating that Megan Fox could be pregnant with Machine Gun Kelly's child.
It comes after the 32-year-old rapper 's performance at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas .
On Sunday, May 15, 2022, Machine Gun Kelly performed on stage of the MGM Grand Garden Arena in which he dedicated his song Twin Flame to Megan and their "unborn child" .
Before launching into the hit single, he said: "I wrote this song for my wife."
Just a few minutes later, he added: "And this is for our unborn child."
While it is not the first time he has referred to Megan, 35, as his spouse, they have not previously hinted about expecting their first child together.
Ahead of the show, he spoke to Entertainment Tonight about the special meaning behind the song he was planning to perform.
He revealed: "I wrote this song two years ago exactly today, played it for her. It's just all the trip. It's all meant to be."
He added that the timing of this weekend makes it even more fitting: "It's really cool because it's a Lunar eclipse tonight. It's a full moon . It's her birthday tomorrow."
While standing by his side, Fox admitted she would probably get emotional hearing it because there's a "really special secret meaning to the song".
She joked: "But I can't cry and f**k up this eyeliner."
Fox has not confirmed whether or not she is expecting, and did not show any sign of a baby bump on the red carpet in her cleavage-baring black gown.
In November 2021, a source told Life & Style that "Megan would love to have a baby with MGK' and 'they’ve already discussed it'".
The insider said: "They both want to wait a couple of years.
"They’re having way too much fun right now."
Machine Gun Kelly is an American rapper, singer, musician, and actor, whose real name is Colson Baker .
He is noted for his compositional blending of contemporary and alternative hip hop with rock.
Fox is already a mum to her three sons , Journey River, born in 2016, Bodhi Ransom, who arrived in 2014, and Noah Shannon, born in 2012.
She shares the children with her ex-partner Brian Austin Green .

Ohio Republican congressional nominee Madison Gesiotto Gilbert shares what it's like running for Congress while pregnant, discusses her pro-life positions and President Biden's student loan handout.
EXCLUSIVE — Madison Gesiotto Gilbert, the GOP nominee running in Ohio's 13th Congressional District, has a unique challenge as she hits the campaign trail ahead of the November election: She is expecting a child.
Gilbert spoke with Fox News Digital in an exclusive interview about what it has been like campaigning while pregnant, her thoughts on the student loan handout , and America's concerning fentanyl crisis.
"Well, it certainly hasn't been easy, but I've been super blessed to have a very healthy pregnancy, so it's been incredible and honestly. It's just really invigorated me even more and reminds me each and every day why I'm doing this," Gilbert said of her pregnancy journey on the campaign trail.
"I'm fighting for a better country for my child, my future children, the children in my community, the children across our state and across our country. We want to make sure that that same American dream that we know and love is going to be alive for them to be able to experience and take advantage of."

Madison Gesiotto Gilbert thinks Biden's student loan handout is "frustrating," while she continues to pay off her own student loans.

Gilbert used her pregnancy to discuss her position on abortion, one of the most talked about midterm issues this cycle after the Supreme Court overturned the Roe v. Wade decision .
"I'm proud to be pro-life. I've been speaking on the issue for over ten years, and I feel like people in my district know where I stand and feel confident about that, and I think we'll see that reflected in the results this November for our race specifically," Gilbert said.
President Biden's recent student loan handout was "pretty frustrating to see," Gilbert said.
"I'm actually someone who still has student loans that I'm paying off from law school, so I totally understand the way people feel about the student loan system, about the flaws. $500 billion is just something we cannot afford, just simply unacceptable."

A recent study on the handout from the Penn Wharton Budget Model found that Biden's plan could cost American's up to $1 trillion over the next 10 years.
"And you see people so frustrated in different clips going around the Internet right now talking about, hey, I saved up money that I really couldn't afford to save up to make sure I could pay for my kid's college instead," Gilbert concluded.

Gilbert said her community got "hit really hard" by the fentanyl crisis.

"I'm the only candidate in this race that's talking about the common sense solution. It's something that I've seen in my own community. And we got hit really, really hard." Gesiotto spoke about the fentanyl crisis in the U.S., and how it has personally effected her and her community. "People in my district has been decimated as a result of this. So it's definitely a difficult issue to solve. However, it's not just about who's coming over our border, but what's coming over our border. And that's coming straight to my state of Ohio."
Gilbert, who was endorsed by former President Trump ahead of her primary win, is competing against Democratic nominee Emilia Sykes this fall, who ran unopposed in the May primary.
