We are looking for a Founding Senior Machine Learning Engineer to become a core member of our technical team and help build the next generation of AI-powered drug discovery platforms.
What You'll Do
* Design and build production-grade machine learning systems.
* Develop AI models for molecular and biological data.
* Work with LLMs, graph neural networks, transformers, and foundation models where appropriate.
* Build scalable data pipelines and model training infrastructure.
* Collaborate closely with computational biologists and scientific researchers.
* Optimize model performance and deploy AI services to production.
* Contribute to the long-term AI strategy and technical architecture of Bactrix.
Requirements
* 5+ years of professional Machine Learning or AI engineering experience.
* Strong Python programming skills.
* Experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow.
* Experience deploying ML models to production.
* Strong understanding of deep learning and modern AI architectures.
* Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
* Excellent software engineering practices.
* Strong communication skills in English.
* Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment.
Nice to Have
* Experience in computational biology, bioinformatics, cheminformatics, or pharmaceutical AI.
* Experience with Graph Neural Networks.
* Experience with LLMs and AI agents.
* Publications or open-source contributions.
* Startup experience.
