Founding Learning & Pedagogy Partner
Part-time: approximately 10–20 hours per month
Location: Remote, but focus on UK Higher Education
Negotiable hourly rate with equity
UK Higher education experience would be a distinct advantage
ShowMyAI is building a new approach to AI literacy: helping students and professionals learn how to use AI critically, effectively and transparently through practical activities carried out inside the AI tools themselves.
As we build out our course and learning offering, we are looking for an experienced learning designer, academic developer, educator or pedagogy specialist to help shape the learning approach behind ShowMyAI.
This is not simply a course-writing role. We are looking for someone who can help establish the pedagogical principles behind our learning products, advise the team as the platform develops, and help ensure that everything we create is engaging, academically robust and genuinely useful to learners.
The role
You will help us:
* Shape and evolve the pedagogical framework behind ShowMyAI
* Design and review practical, task-based AI learning experiences
* Develop learning outcomes, activities, assessments and reflection tasks
* Advise our product team on how learning should work within the platform
* Help us think about critical AI literacy, responsible AI use, assessment and employability
* Review and quality-assure new courses and learning pathways
* Work alongside subject-matter experts and freelance course designers as we expand our course offering
* Help establish consistency and quality across different subjects and course formats
* Contribute to the wider thinking around our approach, potentially including research, publications, events and conference presentations
* Potential to lead Webinars and training sessions
We want this person to have genuine influence over how our learning offering develops.
Who we are looking for
You might currently work as an:
* Academic developer
* Lecturer or academic
* Learning designer
* Instructional designer
* Digital education specialist
* Educational technologist
* Education researcher
* Learning and teaching lead
You may also be someone with substantial experience within education who is looking to move further into edtech and build a profile around AI, learning and pedagogy.
Experience with generative AI is useful, but we are equally interested in people with excellent pedagogical instincts who are excited about how AI is changing learning.
Applicants can be based anywhere in the world, although experience within UK higher education would be a distinct advantage, particularly an understanding of university teaching, assessment, academic development and AI literacy.
Commitment
Approximately 10–20 hours per month, with flexibility around when those hours are worked.
The position is an hourly rate, but with a strong equity element, reflecting our desire to find someone who wants genuine long-term involvement and ownership in what we are building.
There is significant scope for the role to evolve as ShowMyAI grows.
Why join us?
This is an opportunity to help shape an emerging approach to AI education from an early stage.
We are particularly interested in someone who wants to put their stamp on the work, contribute ideas rather than simply execute a brief, and potentially build their own profile around the future of AI literacy and learning.
