Foreskin Piss
Is it necessary (for hygiene) to pull the foreskin back while urinating? We have a DS who is not circumcised. DH is circumcised and really has no idea about the differences. Grateful for advice from those who know correct hygiene for the uncircumcised penis vis-a-vis urination in particular. Thanks,
I used to have a foreskin but was circumcised at aged 21. I didn't used to pull my foreskin back to urinate but I did find that I used to dribble after peeing as a result of urine getting trapped under the foreskin and then leaking out. It would be better to have him circimcised in my experience!
No, you don't. But if you there's a drop in there, he might need to pull it back a little while wiping. Or at least make sure to wipe instead of shake.

I am a lesbian with a 14 year old son who is not circumcised. My wife and I have no earthly idea what you are talking about. We potty-trained our son. He pees, shakes and moves on with washing his hands. There is no problem with his hygiene or laundry or anything else (other than being your typical hormonal teenager)
No need to overthink this one. We never consulted with anyone, read a book or checked a website. And no need to get him circumcised.

OP, if your kid is smelly there, it may be an issue of learning how to bathe correctly. This may require gently pulling the foreskin back when taking a bath or shower.

DS is 7 and uncircumcised. Never gave it any thought. I don't think he pulls it back, but gives it a good shake. Many boys can't pull it back when they're young anyway. If I'm around, I remind him to use one square of tissue to absorb any stray drops but I doubt he does when I'm not there. He's not smellier or dirtier than other boys his age. Takes baths and showers, but no soap ever and no scrubbing, except maybe his neck after a hot summer day.

A family of Europeans here. At the ripe old age of 40, i don't even know how a circumcised penis looks like. (Maybe i should google it?) My son has never pulled the foreskin back to pee. Neither does DH. Both are very clean people and never have problems with smell or drops or whatever.

I’m curious. I never used to, but a guy at uni saw me peeing and told me I should. I’ve seen a lot of guys at urinals recently not pulling their foreskin back to wee. What do you guys do?
