Football hostility between two countries that can't attack each other anymore
A while ago, Argentina won the football "battle" against England. In the euphoria of victory, several Argentine players proudly displayed posters and banners containing political attacks on the UK over the ongoing Falkland Islands dispute - a matter some Argentinians are still sore about.
The Bri'ish were upset. A British journalist wrote an article mocking Argentina's current economic difficulties - the inflation and unemployment levels (as if the UK is faring any better). That article sparked short but loud reaction in Argentina. Right now both sides mostly forgot about it.
One needs to remember that both the UK and Argentina are no longer militarily capable countries. The 4 Eurofighter Typhoon stationed on the Falkland islands would have to face 6 Argentinian F-16s. That is not a war - that is a bar fight. Both countries ought to stop swinging the fists, and repair their inner damages pronto.
