I bought this bundle so I could record mini-performances for my music teacher during COVID, and it works pretty well for that purpose. Combining this hardware bundle with OBS Studio and a web cam I have everything I needed to make individual performance videos and to improve my Zoom lesson experience (Zoom has an OBS option built in).| Side note: to date I haven't had much use for the other software that can be downloaded with the bundle and I slightly regret the small amount of time I spent getting Pro Tools to work. Minor downsides are limited inputs (just two) and it is a bit fiddly with the settings - which I guess comes with the territory. Also the included USB cable is too short. If you want to place the interface more than 3 feet from your computer USB port you are out of luck until you acquire another cable. A better audio level indicator would also be nice (a ring around each nob flashes green, yellow or red based on input level, which is a bit limited feedback). One solid plus, it's a darn attractive little box and all the knobs and buttons have a great feel to them. One other thing, I did find if I had my gaming headphones with attached mic plugged into my PC's mic port it affected the sound getting recorded by my Focusrite / OBS Studio setup. I don't really know if that sort of thing is to be expected, but it's definitely something to keep in mind if your recordings have unexpected noise - try unplugging other audio inputs and see if that helps. On the whole, I'm happy with the purchase. It's not perfect, but with this single order and bit of downloading I got everything I needed for my purposes.

It helps you to create higher quality audio than your iphone, without costing you too much money for starting.
Lol I gave this product 5 stars for thickness even though I'm not sure what that even means. This collection of sweet sweet musical swag is definitely a good buy for anyone without any recording gear but has a good PC and has always wanted to record. The gear itself is great! Everything works just fine and is pretty easy to use for the most part. I didn't realize there was a button you had to press on the inbox to hear the instrument plugged into it so my first night of trying to recorded ended with a disappointed me after resigning myself to the incorrect fact that I just wouldn't be able to hear myself play as I tried to record. They really do their best to provide step by step tutorials to set everything up but I must say the whole software process is seriously a pain. They explain there's 2 software options, one that's fast but not all that great and a second that lets you do all kinds of stuff but takes longer to download. Hmm, I wonder which one most people will pick. Turns out downloading that second option is more of an epic adventure than The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings combined. Seriously, it takes hours and having to sign up for several accounts for different services and several computer restarts. Don't expect to be recording anytime soon after you get your gear if you order this. Then even after you get it, the software is so complicated it definitely takes a while to get used to. I begged a friend that records his own music to come over and help one night and after a few hours, I was finally able to start recording on my own. That being said, if you have a good PC and always wanted to try recording at home, this is a good buy. The gear is good, installing the software is a pain, and it'll take a while to navigate the software once it's finally downloaded, but I'm happy with it and I spent most of today recording and am very happy I'm able to do so :)
The Scarlet Studio is a great package for the price in my opinion. With this package you get the CM25 MkIII condenser microphone, 3rd Gen USB Audio Interface, Knox Gear Microphone Suspension Boom Scissor Arm, Knox Gear Basic Microphone Shock Mount, Knox Gear Pop Filter, HP60 MkIII closed-back headphones, XLR cable for the microphone, and USB cable to connect the preamp to your computer. All of these items purchased separately will run you well over the cost of the package itself. The mic and preamp are great for the beginner and someone who doesn't want to invest a ton of money in sound equipment just to start out. There are a ton of youtubers and streamers who still use this setup and highly recommend it. The only complaints that I have are as follows: The mic boom arm although it does the job is a bit shaky at the location where it is mounted to the desk. If you are somebody that doesn't move the mic once it's in place then this wont be an issue, but for somebody like myself who moves the mic when using my computer for streaming or videos it's a little aggravating. The included pop filter does exactly what it is meant to do, but it looks like a giant lollipop in front of your face and for me when it comes to streaming and videos it is just not pleasant. I purchased a separate pop filter and left the Knox filter in the box. (Pop Filter,PEMOTech [Upgraded Three Layers] Metal Mesh & Foam & Etamine Layer Microphone Pop Filter,Microphone Windscreen Cover,Handheld Mic Shield Mask for Vocal Recording,Youtube videos,Streaming) I am thoroughly happy with this setup and would purchase again.
I bought this for my son and he loves recording on it
I purchased this bundle for voice-over work, podcasts, and audio theatre, with the following priorities: 1 - Scarlett A/D 2 - Mic 3 - Headphones 4 - Accessories (stand, shock mount, pop filter, cable) and, fortunately, the quality and my corresponding satisfaction are in line with this. The Red Box is great, works as designed, a terrific sweet spot of functionality and price. The mic is decent, feels solid, hit all my feature points for a large-diaphragm condenser mic and works well for voice recording. The 'phones are good enough, certainly better than the USB and Bluetooth headsets I've been using before, which may not be saying much but I'm happy. The stand and mic mount are pretty cheapo: the stand is too short for my workspace and the shock mount is far too small for the mic to isolate it from vibration - I can hear every non-SSD hard drive in the room. I'll likely replace both. The XLR cable is red, otherwise unremarkable. caveat: I'm not a sound guy, so my bar for audio quality is probably lower than some people's. I found some reviews which tested the frequency response for both 'phones and mic, and both seemed pretty good. I trust those more than my ears.
Contacted Amazon who contacted Focusrite's rep, and they are replacing the mic with no problem. I appreciated that. I have a podcast and it set my recording back a week. Focusrite stands behind its product 100%. Can't ask for more than that.
Solid starter pack. As a beginner, I can’t compare to anything else, but it seems to wrk and sound great. The value is choice!
I have no experience in recording or audio editing. This Focusrite bundle made things a lot easier.
