The Solo6 Be monitor will surprise you in the very first minutes you spend with it, partly due to its size/extended bass response (40Hz at -3dB). The 6.5" “W” composite sandwich mid-woofer combines neutrality in the midrange, fullness in the midbass register and bass control.

Its compactness and the choice of a large front laminar port guarantee easy integration in studios that need a near field monitor without any acoustic compromise. The user settings on the back of the Solo6 Be, combined with its compactness, make it easy to carry and to adjust according to the acoustics of each studio.

The Solo6 studio monitor is equipped with a Beryllium inverted dome tweeter (with grille): capable of covering 5 octaves from 1,000 to 40,000 Hz, it reproduces high frequencies with the fastest impulse response and the best transparency in the world. In addition to this, the 6.5-inch woofer, with its ‘W’ composite sandwich cone, guarantees exceptional loudspeaker neutrality, a full lower mid-range register and bass control.
The development of the Solo6 loudspeaker’s bass/mid-range power stage relies on BASH® technology, which is the only one to offer class AB sound quality combined with the efficiency of class D amplification. For the amplification of the tweeters, a class AB power stage was used, which is powerful enough to sufficiently meet the low energy needs high frequencies require. This choice gives it an extremely wide frequency range and remarkable precision.

What can I say that hasn't been said already - These monitors will improve your mixes on soooo many levels - My favorite monitor at this price point - I also rock the Alpha 80's as my primary tracking and first round of mixing monitors - These solo 6's will bring you the frequency range that you really need to clean up your mixes and masters - Be sure to break them in properly and let them settle in - you will be glad you did - I highly recommend these!

These were my primary mixing speaker for about 7 years, and were fantastic tools. They allowed me to step up my mixes considerably and win new clients because of it.

While I did eventually upgrade with another brand, I couldn't bring myself to let these go, and still listen to them in my living room. They're one of the most musical and natural sounding speakers you can find in this form factor and price range.

When looking to upgrade for more low end extension, I wanted to stick with Focal, but the Trio6 and Trio11 were unfortunately too big for my room. If Focal were to release a higher end line which included more compact models, I would definitely consider coming back to the Focal professional family in a heartbeat!

My mixes got better when I got em, and are consistently what I expect.
I have been listening to various equipment for about 35 years and these monitors are by far the best things I have ever heard. They are so clear and precise and absolutely amazing. The only regret is that I could not get them 35 years ago, it would have saved me a lot of money over the years.

I got them refurbished from alto music, one of them broke and wasn't turning on but the store send me a brand new one and now they are working great.
its scary how the imaging is when doubled with an Apollo x4. I often find myself in the space that the recording took place.
Beautifully designed/detailed non fatiguing monitors. I have owned the CMS and Shape series previously and these are another level. Focal confirmed they have also reviewed and updated recently. Like some other users I use for near field playback as HIFI speakers are not suitable. The quality versus price is just amazing. I have a very simple modular home DJ digital/analog hybrid system with the emphasis on good audio with the bulk of my budget on monitors, then the mixer and next conversion rather than the dated spinning platters/CDJ concept; MacBook Pro > Traktor (X1 MK2) > RME Babyface Pro FS > MasterSounds Radius 2 (2 channel high end rotary analog mixer) > Focal Be Solos and Mogami cabling all around. What a brilliant company!!!

Beautiful speakers, what a great value. The Beryllium tweeters are unlike anything I have heard... super fast response and awesome high frequency extension. I actually use these as hi-fi speakers, not monitors and couldn't be happier.
Compared with monitors at the same or even higher price it is suggested a best buy.

Excellent Monitors. The stereo Imaging is amazing and I'm hearing music in layers, I can confidently make decisions about my mix on these monitors.
Having just received the pair of monitors from Sweetwater, I am still in the beginning stages of testing them out and listening to them. So far they sound clean and true and I am very excited to test them further.
Beautiful monitors inside and out. Focal suggests a 24 hour break in but even after immediately plugging them in and listening, these monitors are very pleasing to the ear. I'm a believer in 5-6 inch woofers for small studios. Yes, there are a lot more expensive monitors on the market but I'm not sure how many deliver this sound at this price. Hours of working without fatigue and a level of depth that I have not heard ever at this price range. Highly recommended for producers looking for a small footprint monitor that delivers a wide range of frequency range.

A very good professional monitor, which excels on working from very low to medium volume. Personally I prefer it to the Twin6, because I do not record/mix with high volume. When you do medium to high volume, than the Twin6 or larger are a better choice.

Very detailed, but nice highs and mids. Especially the mid-lows are very good and tight! The lows are always a bit compromised in a 2 way system, but taking this in consideration, the Solo6 do a more than excellent job on this and are tight.

What can I say more? Well ... it's good & stylish looking and I really like this, since the studio is supposed to be a place for inspiration. Most audio monitors look dull and you are seeing them all day. Except the Focal line. Kudos for this --> see my happy face --> :-)




Bought this pair from an audio company. 1 speaker has a cracked Beryllium tweeter. Replacement is on its way. Speakers are sounding phenomenal!

The most 3D holographic sound I have heard in a pair of monitors. I keep coming back to them.
Previously I used Augspurger designed far fields in my studio. When I closed the studio I sold these. After about 9 years I reassembled a smaller studio for personal use. Missing the Augspurgers I searched for something in a near field to give the quality of sound I was missing. The Focal professional line does it! The lows are tight and present. In fact I'm amazed at the lows the Solo6's produce by themselves. The mids are detailed and revealing. The highs are present and clear. The sound stage is spacious. I have been using these for about six months now and am delighted - enough so that I've just added a Focal Sub6.
Quality and performance are why I chose Focal. The Solo6 BE's are fantastic and true sounding reference monitors. These Solo6's with a tuned room makes one unstoppable.
I first heard the Focals in my recording class at CCC. We were recording a cello in a separate room. When the track played back I thought the cello was IN the recording booth. I've been using the Solo6 BE in my post production mixing for 3 years now. Trailers I've mixed on them have won Golden Trailer, ProMax and Key Art awards and I could not be happier with them.

Long days mixing on them have helped prevent ear fatigue over some of the other systems I have worked on and the detail, midrange clarity and lack of distortion have made my work life much more pleasant.

I am very happy with the Focal6 BE.The detail and response has improved my mixes and they are easy to listen to for extended lengths of time.
I love them. They are revealing for the good and specially the bad things on your mixes, but now I can control low end frequencies with a lot more of accuracy without a sub. It's like breaking in a wild horse in the beginning, but after some weeks I can say what is going to sound right when I transfer to another system or headphones, and I can adjust everything with more precision. So they are fantastic not only because of their the sound quality, but also because I'm learning more about audio and using better my plug-ins now. I would recommend Focal to anyone.

With a acoustically treated room, these are natural, with extremely smooth highs. This is how you mix an album.
I can hear so much more detail with these monitors than ever other speaker i've used.
I'm blown away with the detail and quality of these monitors. Even at low volumes you still get an accurate representation of the mix and can hear everything.

Fantastic Recording & Mixing near field monitors. Anyone working with a couple $,$$$ budget, I would recommend these in a heartbeat. The Solo6 Be's blow all other 5-8" monitors out of the water in nuanced clarity, accuracy, design, and build quality.

I get blown away every time I start to listen through these. Such depth and clarity that no other speaker (That I've heard) have been able to reproduce, whilst still being super neutral and true to the mix. If the mix sounds good on these, it will translate everywhere!10/10 would recommend.

The clarity on these things are just amazing, you can hear every detail in the musc, a joy to listen too. Also some people say the tweaters are harsh, i do not find this at all.

Great monitors very neutral in my opinion the common ear might not be very impressed but this monitor will make you work when you mix but at the end you will have created good listening skills...also you must put these baby's through the break in period. Then you will be amazed.
Still breaking them in but they are already sounding good after about 8 hours in.
So far so good Breaking them in now.
Gorgeous monitors in a field of ugly plastic-looking alternatives! Sound amazing out of the box - even before the recommended burn-in. Overkill for my use as digital piano speakers? Maybe, but they certainly pass the wife's "does it look nice?" test.

This monitor has beautiful clarity, a musical sound, and a tightness of bass frequencies. Combine its sonic qualities with a treated room and a good DAC and you have an excellent monitoring chain.
These really do sound great. I tyhink the room correction software in use with my previous monitors was doing more "monitor correction" than room correction. With the Solo 6 monitors there is no need for that software now in this room.

I love this my Focal's but one of my speakers started loosing its output - is really quiet. I need help please, the speakers are only 3 years old and i never use them more than 10 hours a week.
These are excellent speakers. However, 5 months after purchase, one of my speakers started loosing its output - just became very quiet. This would correct itself after I switched the speaker off and on again. The service centre in my country fixed the problem for 15 months but now it's happening again. Anyone can advise me what to do? The speakers are only 2 years old.
The monitors sound amazing but the sub on SN A1ACYF004275 quit working as the first time I used it. It will work for a few minutes, but then shuts off. The tweeter on the monitor continues to function.
Five Star! I have owned dozens of speakers, from small monitors to B&W 801s, and these Focal monitors have awesome sound.
I am ecstatic with my new Focal solo 6 monitors, they have opened my ears to details I never knew existed in my mixes, the space and depth I can now mix with has changed the game for me. Thank you Focal! A fan for life! Couldn't get all 5 stars to light up for the review, but believe me, 5 is not enough!
