Florida Notary Acknowledgment Form
A Florida notary acknowledgment is a document that validates the signatures inscribed on a contract, deed, power of attorney, or other legal forms. An acknowledgment is completed by a notary public once they have verified the identities of the signing parties and witnessed their signature on the document. The notary acknowledgment form must include the names of the signatories, the type of ID presented, the date, and the notary’s signature, name, title, and serial number (if applicable).
Notaries are appointed for 4-year terms, after which they must reapply (§ 117.01(1)).
