Discoggers, REJOICE! All those golden-brown-era singles of the legendary and forever-polarizing Flipper are brought together here in a most glorious compilation of exquisite shit. Favorite tracks include the unforgettable "Love Canal"/"Ha Ha Ha" single, the serendipitous cover of "The Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly," the through-the-cracks-darkly of "Earthworm," and the forceful urgency of "Get Away." Also includes an awesome slice of history for the canon: the band's justifiably hostile response to a fight that breaks out in the audience mid-performance of "Ever."

No hyperbole? This pressing is the DEFINITIVE edition of this compilation, bar none. Sure, other editions and re-pressings have the three extra songs taken from the Live at Target LP, but you lose something truly wonderful that this pressing preserves: the locked grove of "Brainwash" that repeats the line, "...you wouldn't understand anyway." It's a classic Flipper moment and, in my opinion, the best way to end a singles compilation from this woefully misunderstood group.

PLUS, you just can't beat the printed sleeve (featuring lyrics and respective art) and the lovely insert, dedicated to the memory of Will Shatter.

As essential as The Generic Album, Blow'n Chunks and Public Flipper Ltd.
