There are three “buttons” along the side of the Flip that create more pressure and suction in the top, middle, or bottom of the toy when squeezed.
Inside, things get more complex. The Flip contains a squishy interior made of incredibly detailed, textured body-safe elastomer. I won’t lie: the innards of the Flip look really freaking weird. At first glance, you can’t help but think that someone was on acid while designing this product, but each part of the Flip was thoughtfully engineered to delivers a unique type of sensation. Without lube, the elastomer feels somewhat like a water-logged gummy bear: squishy yet soft.
The Flip comes in four different models, named for their colors: red, silver, black, and white. Each model has markedly different internal textural patterns, with names like “Quattro Wave”, “Click Orb”, “Side Flap”, and “Wing Gate,” that produce different sensations. Each Flip also comes with three different “Hole Lotions” (yes, I hate the name too): Mild, Real, and Wild, each designed to provide a different type of sensation.

All four models of the Flip cost $99 .
First, you’ll want to get your Flip lubed up. The Flip, well, flips open from the base, making lube application easy. As I mentioned before, each Flip comes with sample-sizes of three different Hole Lotions. I’m pretty fanatical about my lube , but I didn’t think the three versions would be all that different. My trusted tester told me I was grossly mistaken. The Mild lotion is thick and viscous, and apparently makes the toy feel smooth and silky. Real is supposed to closely emulate vaginal lubricant, and feels like a nice middle-ground. Wild is the thinnest, and intensifies the sensation of the textured elastomer noticeably. After applying the lube, you’ll need to close your Flip and secure it with the plastic base.
From there, plunge your penis into the textured depths and go to town! The Flip is surprisingly versatile as a masturbation device. You can use either of your hands to move it up and down your penis. Or use both hands for more intensity. If you’re nimble, you can pin the Flip between your box spring and mattress and use it hands-free. You can also play with the three different buttons to vary the sensation; you’ll create more suction around the area of the button that you press. Rotating the Flip 180 degrees will also produce new sensations, as each side of the Flip has a unique textural pattern.
When you’re done, simply remove the plastic base and open the Flip back up. Rinse it off in the sink, wash with a bit of hand soap, and hang up to try. The plastic base that holds the Flip closed also doubles as a drying rack. You’ll want to ensure that it’s fully dry before putting it away.
The instructions that come with the Flip say it’s good for 50 uses, as the elastomer tends to break down after taking that many beatings. I’m really curious to know exactly what that looks like, but my tester sadly didn’t have the time for 50 trial runs.
My tester’s mind was completely blown by his experiences with the Flip. He actually struggled to describe the sensation in words. All those bizarre-looking and strangely-named nubs and crevices create an intensely pleasurable, fully-immersive experience. Even though the Flip is not marketed as a replacement for a human orifice, I was curious about how the sensations measured up. My tester was adamant that the two experiences weren’t too unique to be compared. For any straight women out there who feel threatened by the idea of their partner using a male masturbator, rest assured that you won’t be “replaced” by a tube of elastomer. The Flip simply provides another type of experience (in the same way that a vibrator does).
My tester also appreciated that there were so many masturbatory variations possible with the Flip. Even though $100 is a significant amount of money to spend on a sex toy, the Flip can very easily create a number of different sensations using the Hole Lotions, pressure buttons, and 180 degree rotations.
My tester also enjoyed the ease of using the Flip. Unlike other male masturbators, the Flip is incredibly easy to clean. He also liked being able to come into it and have his ejaculate contained within the toy.
Even though cleanup is easy, hanging the Flip out to dry isn’t exactly ideal if you live with other people. You can always dry your Flip with a hand towel, but air drying really is the best way to make sure you get all the water out. This is the case for any male masturbator, so it’s not a flaw that’s unique to the Flip.
The Flip also creates a squelching noise that can be quite loud at times. The sound can actually be really hot, but it’s not a great toy to use if you have roommates around.
At 50 uses and $100, you’re paying about $2 every time you masturbate. My tester thought it was well-worth it, but still a bit on the steep side.
Lastly, and this is a very minor quibble, the Hole Lotion can create long, wispy strands when you pull it off your penis. It’s not a huge deal, but it looks like lubey spiderwebs.
I honestly think that any man would enjoy the variety of stimulation that the Flip creates. It’s a fun new way to experience masturbation, and it feels ridiculously good.
This could be a particularly great product for men who want to work on improving their stamina. My tester said he could last longer using the Flip as opposed to his hand. It was harder to get “carried away” with the Flip, so he could draw the experience out.
Similarly, the Flip could also be good for men who want to train themselves to get away from the dreaded masturbation “ death grip. ” The Flip is a tight fit, but it’s not as intense as a lot of men get with their hands.
The biggest question that comes up with the Flip is which model to buy. The innards of the Flip look so bizarre that it’s hard to tell how it’s going to feel on your penis. Of course, different dude-folks will like different strokes, but I wanted to provide After Hours readers with some guidance for choosing their model. I got my tester to give his opinions on the four models, but I also decided to take matters into my own hands. Yes, dear reader, I fingerbanged four male masturbators in your honor. Here are my findings:
The red version has the most straight-forward internal design. It’s filled with small nubbins and a couple of gentle ridges designed to target the head of the penis. Out of all of the Flips, it has the loosest fit, so it’s best for well-endowed guys. This was my tester’s favorite.
This model has crazy edges and angles that reminded me of ice shards or diamonds. It is on the looser side, but the edges themselves are quite firm. Since the nubs are so large, there wasn’t as nuanced of a sensation as the others. This was my tester’s least favorite.
Okay, so this one is insane. It’s got tons of texture and ribbing. There are maze-like cross-sections that seem difficult to penetrate, and several large balls. It’s very firm, and very tight. Tenga bills the Black model as the most intense, so if you’re looking for tons of stimulation, this is your model. My tester had a love-hate relationship with the Black model. He thought it was too intense at first, liked it more once he got into the groove, then found it too overwhelming during orgasm.
This was my tester’s second favorite. It has a tight fit, but the texture feels gentler and more enveloping. The ridges actually look designed to contain a penis. If this matters to you, I thought the White model felt the most like a vaginal canal, just a more exaggerated version.
My tester truly loved the Tenga Flip. I think it’s a great option for any men out there who want to experience a different type of sensation and shake up their masturbation routine. Once I can extricate my fingers from these bad boys, I’ll give it two thumbs up.

If you get this, and in my humble opinion, you should, it will ruin you! Why? Because after using it, nothing will feel as good - Nothing! Not even close... Let me repeat this for emphasis and for your benefit - Nothing! You may decide not to get it on that basis alone. The thought crossed my mind many times after having tried it, wondering why others didn't leave such feedback. It should come with a warning... FYI - if you do get one - a cautionary note: The lubricant that comes with it is sub par. You will likely need something much better.
Works well but starts to fall apart with about 5 moderate uses. The exterior buttons fall off and the plastic support shell under buttons crack making unit unusable and dangerous to use. It has a short use life and plastic slivers can penetrate interior and cause severe cuts. Other than that it is well designed and works well buttons and support need to be made of better and more flexible material before someone has a serious injury. I have reported this problem before. Most of the device is quite nice and if it were not for the device being so bulky, I would give this 4/5 stars. I hope the company finds a way to minmize the casing.
another great tenga toy. really nice i like the black one more myself but it is still good. i got this in 2015 and its still like new. the lubes are good to. it fits me great and i get it right at the base lol

This product is not better than my own hand . I have never bought a jack off toy before and am very much under whelmed that a 70 dollar product really bombed so badly. It is very east to clean if nothing else .
