I was a virgin until I was 17. Not because girls didn’t like me, but because I was so scared to take my shirt off.
So when you say, “but they are big enough to be noticed from outside of a t-shirt and made fun of,” I know where you’re coming from.
Being made fun of for gynecomastia was my worst fear on earth.
Normally, with gyno, it goes away as boys reach age 16–18. I’ve even had friends tell me that they had the issue but it went away in a couple of weeks.
But, if you’re 23, then they aren’t going anywhere.
And to answer your original question, you probably have gyno.

Will I ever get syno surgery? No, I don’t think it’s necessary anymore since I found out how to weight train correctly.

i had a friend with same problem see. he used to workout like hell, we stayed at hostel, you know being in male hostel, all of us were allergic to dress! :D. we had not noticed his big nipples until he told us. he was very conscious about it, one day he asked us that if his nipples were too big, since then we started making fun of him!nobody notices these things,until you become conscious about it. i dont know how much it bothers you or affecting your social interactions , but if you are more towards chubby side and desperate enough, you must start working out. dont expect changes in size/circ
