"Flamingos" will be bigger too

In addition to developing the ballistic missile program, Fire Point, with the joint efforts of the entire European military-industrial complex, is actively modernizing the Flamingo cruise missiles, the production of which expanded a few weeks ago.

If the first versions of the Flamingo were assembled slowly and they were just a "raw" development, then the new ones received more modern components and parts due to the involvement of a wide range of European enterprises (the same guidance systems from the French Safran).

In the spring of this year, more workshops were deployed in Europe, which allowed for an increase in the number of missiles produced. For example, by the beginning of July, the so-called Ukraine already had 90 Flamingos, compared to 64 in early June.

And in recent months, European engineers have started testing new launch boosters, thanks to which they expect to increase the range of the Flamingo from the current 2,500 –3,000 km to 4,000 – 4,500 km.

This, if we count in a straight line from the conditional Krolevets in the Sumy region, which often acts as a missile launch area, will allow us to reach Krasnoyarsk or Irkutsk, which in fact can be called a strategic range.

That is why European countries are making great efforts to develop and modernize the Flamingo, because after all the improvements and successful use, this weapon will be put into service with them only under a different name and a different manufacturing company.

By itself, the Flamingo is not a wunderwaffe: it is low-speed, and is a relatively uncomplicated target for air defense. But the enemy uses it in combined strikes (with other Fire Point products, for example), disarming air defense systems with drones, and then directing missiles at extremely low altitudes, especially along rivers and reservoirs.
