Five Tools Everybody In The Cheap Single Pushchair Industry Should Be Using
Cheap Single Pushchairs
If you're on a budget and don't want a stroller that can double up as a car seat carrier the Babyzen Yoyo is a good choice. It comes with a simple one-step foot brake that's flip flop friendly.
It's easy to push and it is solid when navigating kerbs and woodland paths. It's also easy to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2
The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned its reputation as the ultimate lightweight stroller, both for city dwellers as for jet-setters. This is thanks to its extremely nimble handling and fold that fits into an aeroplane's overhead luggage. The latest version has independent suspension on all four wheels made of Hytrel elastomer, allowing it to 'perfectly traverse all types and terrains'.
The base YOYO2 frame with a curved fabric bassinet as well as a six-month color pack combine to make a stylish and elegant pushchair that's easy on the eyes, with a subtle but elegant aesthetic and tasteful branding. The frame's base weight is less than a kilogram, and is so lightweight that you can lift it out of the box using just one hand.
It's also easy to add or remove adaptors or attachments such as the hood, for example, snaps onto the YOYO2 by clicking and is machine washable to prevent stains from smushed rice cakes and half-dissolved carrot puffs. The Newborn Pack and bassinet can be used from birth as a pram. It can also be transformed into a stroller after 6 months by using the YOYO connect additional chassis.
2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore
The Evenflo Pivot Xplore is a fantastic choice for parents looking for an adaptable stroller wagon. It can be converted from a stroller into a wagon by simply turning the handle, which means parents can choose which mode they prefer on their trip. The wagon can accommodate two or three children ranging from 6 months to 5 years old. It has a large storage basket that can hold all your necessities on the go.
The Xplore also comes with two canopies that move from the front to the back, offering ample sun coverage for all family members. It has a smaller footwell than some wagons. This isn't suitable for long trips or napping.
The frame of the Xplore wagon is solid and sturdy, but it does not flex as much as some other wagons we tried. It is also more difficult to fold than some of the other models and it doesn't secure when folded. It is easy to move, though, and it can fit through narrow 28-inch doors.
3. Delta Children LX Side by Side
This Delta Children bare-bones travel stroller is a great choice for parents who are seeking a second stroller that is affordable. It scored a dazzling score in our Strollers & Multiples test for weight and fold size which means it's lightweight, small when collapsed and easy to move into a trunk of a car or closet. It also comes with a multi-position reclining seat and a parent cup holder. Other features worth mentioning include two large storage bags that hang from the ceiling and 360-degree shock-absorbing front wheels.
It performed better in our push and turn test than a lot of the strollers we tested, but it is nonetheless difficult to maneuver on uneven ground or through narrow doors. Its sunshades were among the smallest strollers we tested. They only cover the top, and do not feature peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 has a more extensive canopy.
The Delta took us just over 3 minutes to assemble with an average manual and all of the components required tools. However, it's missing some critical features that we think you should consider non-negotiable in a double stroller like a large basket, and reclining seats with adjustable leg rests.
4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1
The Zelia is the newest version of Maxi-Cosi's pushchair range and is advertised as an urban travel system. It can be used from birth until around 3.5-years-old. The carrycot and seat can be easily converted in only a few clicks. It is compatible with Maxi Cosi capsule car seats. It comes with a lightweight Mico 30 infant seat, a stay-in-car-base and a reversible car seat.
The seat can be reclined with one hand, and the big shopping basket makes it easy for parents to help their child in and out. This narrow pushchair handled every day bumps and doors with ease.
The front wheels are able to be locked in a forward direction or swivel. This is useful when navigating rough terrain. We allowed the front wheels to swivel on our walk along the stony path. It was able to handle this well, even though it felt slightly rougher.
5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2,
Baby Jogger is best known for its 3-wheeled, all-terrain, strollers for jogging. However, they also make a broad variety of pushchairs that have four wheels. City Tour 2 is their most loved model. It is easy to use and folds small enough to fit in the car boot, even with the carrycot attached.
It weighs more than other strollers we've tested, but because it has composite wheels made of rubber, it feels sturdy and well-made. It's a breeze to maneuver across all kinds of terrain, and it's easy to carry even with two kids and a shopping bag.
Both the seat and the carrycot come with hoods that can be removed to reveal the UV50and sun canopy extensions. They are water-resistant and durable, unlike some other prams' hoods which are whipped back into toddlers faces.
It doesn't have a lot of storage space, but it comes with an ample basket that is deep enough to accommodate a changing bag or a large amount of groceries. You can also use it with a Baby Jogger car seat that is suitable for babies up 20 lbs (car seat and adapters are sold separately). The City Tour 2 is a ideal choice for those looking to take a stroller on the move.
6. Nuna Mixx Next
When the Nuna Mixx first came onto the scene, it stole the hearts of parents across the world. It is an aluminium-framed stroller which can be used from infant's first days until. It comes with a variety of distinctive features like the ability to flip the seat from parent to world-facing, a huge UPF 50+ canopy, an eye-shade that flips out and a spacious basket as well as an adjustable handlebar.
The wheels are tough and foam-filled which minimises punctures and the chassis has built-in suspension which takes the sting out of bumpy terrain. Our test driver found it easy to push and was able to manoeuvre it through tight streets with ease.
It locks automatically and folds in just four steps. It is also able to stand and be rolled around for easier transportation in the trunk of your car or down the stairs at home. It also comes travel system equipped with the option to add a car seat or carrycot using the adaptors that come with it. The brakes are easy to use, using a single colored and flip-flop-friendly.
7. Babyzen Duet
This budget single pushchair is extremely easy to use and has an excellent dual suspension system, one-hand fold and a convenient carry strap. It's also extremely light and robust. The seat can be reclined to many different positions. It also comes with a double breathable mattress built in that is suitable for babies.
The canopy/seat has two large fixed or flip-out sun visors and both are UPF50+. The toggle closure isn’t ideal because it's not as quiet as Velcro, and can cause sleepy babies to wake up.
The Duet is a stroller with an angled design that can accommodate twins or siblings. (Up to 22kg per seat). It is compatible with two infant car seats and some carrycots. In twin-mode, the seats can be facing one another or turn around and face the parents, theoretically reducing sibling fights over who gets to sit with mom and dad. It comes with a large tray for gears, a bottle holder and snack trays. Push Chairs And Prams has a superior compact stand fold, and an automatic frame lock.

The seat is padded and provides plenty of space to sit. However the seat's isn't as deep as those of other joggers (it's only about 10") The storage bin has an enclosed zipper to help keep items secure. It can hold up to 10lbs which is sufficient for the majority of diaper bags.
The Urban Glide 2 doesn't come with adapters for most infant car seats and bassinets, but you can use them from the very first day using adapters that work with brands such as BOB, Graco Combi Evenflo Britax UPPAbaby.
