Height: 5’0” (since someone told me I’m aiming for an unhealthy weight). My doctor wants me less, but I just want to feel good again.
Day 4. This is really my only social media. I deleted my Facebook and messenger a few weeks ago, and I only use Twitter sometimes when a YouTuber I follow makes announcements.
Day 4 is already off to a good start. I got a dateless planner from dollar general and am using it to track me. I convinced my husband to try yoga with me and he hated it but he also loved it and can’t wait for tomorrow, which surprised me. I’m counting my self care task as spending the day with him bc he normally works all the time and I don’t get him to myself very often. So we’re going out to do some yard work (we’re about two weeks behind bc I’m scared of the lawn mower and he’s been busy 😬) and then it sounds like we’re going to get the garbage together for trash night and have a twilight marathon??? I’m so excited.
Here’s to a good day and hopefully finishing out with getting everything checked off. My husband actually asked me last night when he saw me making my journal if we could get him one and he could do his own with me. Yay for bonding ❤️

Day 0-3 of the summer strong challenge!
I’ll try to make this brief, I’ve been having trouble making a post for this. I’m going through it right now. I had a blow up fight with my mom and sister last week over something they have no business having an opinion about, and I REALLY let it get to me. I’m using this challenge as a way to brush myself off and try to get back to me. I haven’t been me for a very long time, and now is as good a time as any.
My goals: daily yoga. More steps. Daily reading.
I feel great today. I haven’t accomplished my goal of my steps because my other cat has actually been giving me lots of health scares this week, but I’ve done the yoga’s, and I’ve read a little bit. I’m going to read a little bit and then I’m taking my dog for a walk tonight when it cools down. My goal is to possibly walk all the way to Starbucks and back in the mornings to start my day (it’s not too far from me) because I’ve really been dragging getting up before 11, I just lay there awake. I need a kick. Then do yoga. Then read a little. And depending on when I get done and the weather, maybe throw a little suntanning in there. I laid out for an hour today and I feel so GOOD. I’ll try to skip a day or so in between so I don’t burn myself to a crisp, but just being outside and soaking it in was so nice. We might be making time to take a day trip to the beach next weekend and I’m so happy I could cry.

2017 Goals: Bike from SF to LA and fundraise for SF AIDS Foundation!
Dear readers and friends for the last 5 years,
I’m about to do something new this year, and that is to ask my community to support a non-profit, and to embark upon a 7-day biking journey down the coast of California! This ride is called the AIDS Lifecycle and all the riders raise funds to support the SF and LA AIDS Foundations. These organizations provide housing assistance, medical care, and free testing for people living with HIV/AIDS.
To be honest, I’m really unsure about my ability to do either--to fundraise $5000 or to bike 545 miles in a week. I feel nervous about facing rejection, annoying my friends, and stress it may cause. That’s why I am reaching out to our blogging community first--the space where I felt I could be my true self and voice my opinions.
I would be so thankful if you would support my campaign for the SF AIDS Foundation and help me earn my spot in the 7-day ride. Of course any amount, even that of a small cup of coffee, would be AMAZING!

I have been so depressed lately and I just feel like I will never get fit. If I'm not eating too much then I don't eat at all. I want to get my shit together but I dont know where to begin. What should I do?
Brah if you really want it. You will go to no ends to get it. I believe you must solve the issues surrounding you that are the root cause of the loss of motivation. Once you cleared the path stopping you from your goals, then you can be on your way. I believe you can do it man :)
I can't seem to find the motivation or discipline to workout and eat healthy anymore. I used to do this daily but with my sudden life changes I just stopped... Any pointers?
Don't feel rushed. The gains are forever there. Get out of this down time properly and find what motivates you again. On your own time. Anything forced in this world does not come out as you wish. That applies to occupation, relationships, goals, etc. There is no magical source of motivation, figure out what's stopping you and fix it patiently. Then I truly believe your motivation to get fit will come in as second nature as it once did in your past. Best of luck
How do you know when it's time to move on to a new protein brand?
Honestly brah they're more or less the same. Don't overspend on protein powders when the real focus is on whole foods. Let's put it in this perspective: you take protein 1 for a year and you take protein 2 for a year. Will there truly be a significant difference? Will it be noticable ? Probably not. You'll probably have the same improvements. I personally wouldn't fret on something as small as protein brands. The main focus is on supreme diet. That's when you'll see real improvements. Just my opinion

I know I have been MIA for awhile but I wanted to jump on here and say a few things. This is all my opinion and wanted to share with you guys :)
Looking back at the posts I have posted throughout these past few years I was (to a degree) very narrowed minded on what being healthy looks like and what being healthy means. Now (for the past 6 months) my focus is a balanced lifestyle
Update on my life: I have learned ways around the kitchen (which took me awhile) to substitute healthier options for my taste while still enjoying the meals. I still go out on the weekends whether it is to drink (I am 21) or go out to eat but I focus more on my personal eating habits and slowly adjusting little things in my diet to stay balanced and making sure I get the fuel I need for my body. I still go to the gym 5 days a week (for about 1 hour) and I found a new love for biking, HIIT workouts and weights!
I am happy now because if I ate unhealthy one meal or drank a glass of wine that doesn't mean I failed, to me it personally means that maybe for the next meal I eat I’ll be a little more aware and or adjust a few things (if that) because I know that I am living the life I want while keeping a balanced lifestyle.
