Experience:  Diploma in Accountancy, part-qualified ACCA, or equivalent hands-on experience. The ability to run the books end-to-end and keep a startup’s back office humming matters more than seniority.

FORMAS.AI is an AI-powered design platform built specifically for architects, interior designers, and real estate teams, helping them move from early ideas to production-grade visual outputs with greater speed, control, and precision than traditional workflows allow.
Our platform orchestrates multiple frontier AI models across image, video, 3D, spatial ideation, and design workflows. Unlike generic AI tools, Formas is built ground-up for a specific and demanding user.

THE ROLE & YOUR IMPACT
We need someone to own the financial and operational backbone of an early-stage AI company. You’ll keep the books accurate, the company compliant, and the founders clear-eyed on cash and runway, then build the lightweight systems and processes that let a fast-moving team move faster.
This is a broad, high-trust role spanning finance, operations, and people. You’ll handle the numbers and the statutory work yourself, manage payroll and contracts, and help bring new people on board. As the company grows, so does the mandate.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Finance & Accounting
* Own the books. Maintain day-to-day bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations.
* Close & report. Run month-end close and give the founders a clear monthly read on P&L, cash, and burn.
* Cash & runway. Track runway, flag risks early, and support budgeting and forecasting.
* Tax & statutory compliance. Annual financial statements, and ACRA / IRAS matters with our corporate-services partners.
* Fundraising & board support. Prepare financials for board updates and investor diligence, and keep cap-table administration tidy.
Operations
* Process & controls. Build lightweight finance SOPs and approval workflows, including sensible controls on payment runs.
* Vendor & spend management. Manage vendor contracts, renewals, SaaS subscriptions, insurance, and procurement
People & HR
* Payroll & statutory contributions. Run monthly payroll, CPF, IR8A / IR21, and SDL accurately and on time.
* Contracts & onboarding. Review and process contracts for payroll purposes, keep personnel records, and Employment Act compliance.
SKILLS & TOOLS
You don’t need to check every box. We care about whether you can own the work and run it reliably.
* Finance foundation. Diploma in Accountancy, part-qualified ACCA, or equivalent hands-on experience taking books full-cycle, ideally in an SME or startup.
* Singapore statutory exposure. Familiar with CPF, GST, IRAS, MOM, and ACRA, or a track record of picking up a new statutory regime quickly. Based anywhere; comfortable working to Singapore hours.
* Tools. Can recommend modern and easy to use software for bookkeeping and accounting purposes
* Generalist instinct. Comfortable switching between finance and light HR-operations
* Trust & discretion. You’ll handle pay and confidential data. Accuracy and integrity are non-negotiable.
* Startup-ready. Self-directed and organized, and happy building systems from scratch in a fast-moving environment.
