These Figma action figures are amazing. They're a little pricey for an action figure but they are head and shoulders above the "standard" action figure made (or readily available) for an American market. From detail to points of articulation, they can pretty much do whatever you want them to do. I'm a collector, an appreciator of all things Blizzard (except Diablo 3, but that's a different story lol), and I definitely prefer the higher amount of detail found in these Figma toys vs. the Hasbro ones coming out now. I have the Reinhardt Hasbro one, its pretty awesome, but you can see the difference in overall quality. The Hasbro ones are more like the old G.I. Joe or Star Wars figures from the '80s while these Figma ones are like if those '80s toys had a baby with the current Blizzard statues (Sylvanas, Illidan, etc.) that cost a few hundred bucks. I've had the privilege of visiting Japan a few years ago for about 6 weeks. Amazing people, food and down right gorgeous landscapes. Anyways, we backpacked around and did quite a bit of shopping. I picked up a few small toys, Godzilla, Robotech (Macross), mini dinosaur skulls/skeletons, all for $5-$9 USD each. What still strikes me to this day is how insanely detailed they are and just...reek of a much higher quality, and all for just a few bucks. So, the point is, I'm not really surprised that these Overwatch figures, made by Figma, a Japanese company, are so highly detailed (figure and packaging) but I guess I'm writing this because I read somewhere else, another person's review, that said they really could not see a difference between the two. I completely disagree. I think both toys have a place, but if you're more of a collector and appreciate having "higher quality" stuff on your shelf and love Overwatch like me, then these Figma toys are for you.

Great figure, great poses, and includes a stand . . . not exactly a toy . . . the figure broke right out of the package. The Figma includes different hands for different poses . . . I wanted to pose the figure holding both shotguns, so I affixed the appropriate hands to the Figma and attempted to place the shotguns into the hands. The right hand went together like a champ . . . but, the left hand broke! The fingers separated from the palm at an assembly joint thus the Figma will not hold both shotguns. I emailed Good Smile, but haven't heard a peep in response. I have considered trying to use some super-glue (gorilla glue) to repair the assembly . . . but, I feel like I shouldn't have to make repairs to something I just received. Overall, this is a good looking Figma and I'm sure my situation isn't exactly common.

Out of the box figma’s Reaper is gorgeous. And feels good in the hand. Pro’s: His jointing is butter smooth. Fantastic sculpt and super detailed paint work. Included stand Gun effects parts Con’s (mostly minor) his hard plastic cloak and hood limits the articulation range of motion. Especially the hood. His gun holding hands are 2 part. Pull off fingers, insert gun, resocket fingers. The fingers of my left hand don’t hold well. And it is a teeny part easily lost. The acetate plastic effect part is lame and pointless. (Some sort of portal).

Fingers on the left hand broke off when trying to get him to hold his weapon. A little super glue fix that though. Other than that it's great figure.

Pretty decent Reaper figure. The sculpt and detailing are excellent, only hampered by poor design choices with the cowl and coat. The plastic on these pieces is very hard and brittle-feeling, and since the cowl is hard plastic it doesn't move at all and will fall off pretty easily. The joints are decent, but not that sturdy. Holding his weapons up with the effect pieces requires balance, and doesn't hold that well. I only paid $40, and feel that any more wouldn't have been worth it.

The package arrived before and is perfect, I love it, thank you. This Reaper Is not fake by the way.

A very nice figma. I had no problems with stressmarks or his hands sticking or anything. He arrived well packaged in the box, which preserved the box well. The only thing I worry about is accidentally scuffing the 'tails' of his coat. So I recommend not letting him fall on the floor, because they feel like the type of plastic that scuffs easily. Overall, 10/10

Very nice

Arm fell off the first one with the slightest of movement and broke from the socket so returned it and tried again. New one is fine all and all but his belt appears to have no been well attached though didn't return since it's a minor issue and not worth the hassle of returning yet again.

Reigning. Defending. Undisputed.
Figma has always had strong offerings when it comes to video-game figures. Metroid, Zelda, Metal Gear Solid, Fate/Grand Order, and Death Stranding are few of the games they have a license to make action figures from and for the most part, they really delivered.
When Figma got the Overwatch license and produced a prototype, it didn’t elicit much reaction from me simply because I wasn’t a big fan of the game. Oh, I think the game’s fun and there had been many entertaining matches that I’ve seen during competitions and in You Tube. But I just have a love-hate relationship with first-person shooters in general and Overwatch interests me in the aesthetics department, but not so much in the actual gameplay.
When the D.Va Figma was announced, I immediately took a liking to it. It didn’t matter that it was a figure of a character I barely know, from I game I played little of, I was attracted to her design, the idea that she is some idol with sponsors. A quick look at her biography in the Overwatch Fandom Wiki , “she is a former professional gamer and a mech pilot who is participating in her country’s special force to combat a colossal Omnic’s devastating invasion.”
So let me get this straight: she’s a 19-year old former professional gamer who is a mech pilot? Doesn’t get any morr “ Gundam ” than that. So I signed in on a pre-order from Backstreet Toys, and got this baby.
The figure is standard Figma, with excellent details all through-out. This means that Figma D.VA is very articulate, and surprisingly easy to pose. One big reminder for collectors though, is that the figure has a lot of small parts that can easily get lost. Her bubble-gum piece in particular, almost got lost when I popped it out of the plastic case.
The sponsorship labels in her suit are surprisingly detailed, as is the sticker you can wrap around the soda can to serve as a “label”. Her facial expressions are very entertaining and can bring about varied and funny poses. Interesting point are the hands, there are hands that allow her to make a “heart” sign like an idol, a hand clutching a smart phone, a hand with the peace sign, and several other standard Figma hands that gives this figure a lot of personality.
As with any Figma, you can swap facial expressions and hair-pieces. My personal favorite is the one with a cap. The look just feels “clean” to me. You can have fun mix and matching faces to the hands to bring out D.Va’s personality. I even made her look like a celebrity with a bad-ass bodyguard.
If there is a downside to this figure, it’s probably due to the fact that some of its parts can be easily lost. When it does, it can affect your overall enjoyment of it since her myriad of expressions is what makes this figure work. And just like any Figma, it can be lost because of its size. Detail has its price.
All in all, I had fun with this figure. The many expressions really brings out D.Va’s charm, and if you’re careful, you can play her around with other Figma and SH Figuarts figures for sometimes hilarious results. If you are a fan of Overwatch, or just fancy collecting figures, then this one is for you.
Hi Lelouch, thanks for the feedback. I really suck at taking pics. It’s not just the fact that I use my camera phone, but I don’t really have an eye for photography. In any case, I’m taking note of your feedback as I try to improve my toy reviews. Thanks!
I am looking to buy that for my son in a few weeks. I started to wonder how you take the head and hands off though.
They connect via small pegs which are easy to remove but are snug enough for a secure fit. You can pull them off no problem.

“D.Va online.”
“MEKA leads the way!”
“One for my highlight reel!”
“Nerf this!”

The sixth character to join the Overwatch ® Nendoroid series is D.Va! The figure captures her cheerful and energetic personality all shrunk down to Nendoroid size! The back of her hair features special articulation that allows for more dynamic jumping poses with her hair flowing to the side!
A miniature version of D.Va's MEKA unit is included to display by her side! While small, it features articulated arm, leg and waist parts and also comes with its own little stand allowing for various different posing opportunities.
D.Va's deceptively powerful light gun is also included with the Nendoroid together with special hand parts that allow her to hold the weapon in either her left or right hand.
A V-shaped hand part as well as a smartphone part is included to pose her taking a selfie after sending her mech to self-destruct, allowing you to recreate the pose from the "Selfie" highlight intro!
Although the sizes differ, D.Va can easily be posed with her mech and you can make use of the size difference to create perspective as if ejecting out from the mech!
