@FibaroBot

@FibaroBot is a bot to deliver Fibaro Home Center notifications through Telegram

How it works:

• Home Center sends notifications to service email provided by bot
• @FibaroBot resends notifications to you through Telegram

@FibaroBot is very simple to configure and suitable even for Home Center Lite

Telegram notifications are delivered with some delay because emails from Home Center are not immediate.

Base configuration

Receive ID from bot

1 - Find @FibaroBot and send /start command

2 - Bot will send ID (in form of email address) for configuration

You can add @FibaroBot to your home group in Telegram and receive notifications out there. Send /start command after you have added bot in the group. Keep in mind that ID is unique for each chat and group.

Bot delivers messages from Home Center only. Do not try to "test" bot and send emails from your personal email - you will not receive them in Telegram

Configure user in Home Center with your ID

We recommend to create new user with name "bot".

Create new user [Configuration > Access Control]

It does not required any access to your devices (but may require access to cameras to take snapshots if you will use it). You just need to use the email from the configuration. Put here the ID that you received from the bot. Do not forget to click "save" on the right-hand sidebar after completion.

You can open https://web.telegram.org in your browser and copy/paste received ID into Home Center configuration

Text messages

Create Notification [Panels > Notification Panel]

Give the notification a "Title" and enter the text you would like to receive. You NEED TO add content to all three boxes, even though you only use the email. Click the "Save" button.

You can use Emoji ⬅️ 👍 😀 icons in these boxes

Create simple Block Scene [Scenes > Block Scenes]

Camera snapshots

Camera needs to be configured correctly in Home Center in order to be able to take snapshots in .jpeg format.

To receive shapshots from camera use the similar block scene and use a bot as a receiver of a camera photo.
