Truly loyal to the guitar upon which it is based, the Fender American Vintage '57 Stratocaster electric guitar was built to the specifications of the actual 1957 Stratocaster. '57 was a great year for Strat builds, being at the height of the maple-neck era. The American Vintage '57 reissue was one of the first in this series to be released, as the CBS era was coming to a close, and features a vintage-style tremolo and other period-accurate hardware.

This is my 3rd AV 57, and they never fail to disappoint. Perfect neck, lovely finish, and sound exactly like a Strat should. Glassy, bell like tone from the neck pickup, woody middle, and a sharp, twangin' bridge. From rock to r&b to funk, it's the guitar you need.

What a fantastic series, these American Vintage reissues. I just about have one in every color. The Necks are superb for me, very easy playing. The guitar sounds fantastic.
