There was a huge Skyway across the road with the Greyhound sign on it, which always told me I was here. These days it is the Transbay Transit Center, which has now been renamed the Salesforce Transit Center. It's a massive and amazing and modern building and has taken over from the Greyhound building that I came to and used so many times. It's a good memory for me and I guess that's all that it will ever be. It's been a long long time now since I saw that original building on the street corner, and the new Transit Center is magnificent and currently mainly serves the Greyhound station. Transbay looks modern and space-age and curvaceous and white. And it's definitely quite different to anything you would imagine. There's even an aerial tram and a roof top park. I mean you can't expect much more than that. It's massive and very long, taking up several city blocks, and a wave of the future. There is criticism for the naming rights, but most people actually really love it. They also have a Package Express service here. Barbie likes me to use my package to express myself, so here goes. The Truffle Poke Bar space is pretty nice and will offer a nice place to sit down and eat when this whole pandemic blows over. The regular poke bowls had really generous portions. Everything behind the counter was very neat and clean, and the ingredients were really fresh looking. I generally don't enjoy our "mainland" style of poke because I prefer the seafood be pre-marinated (nutin' like that island flava poh-keh). Plus I just can't get over the stuff like quinoa and kale getting wedged between the teeth as I'm enjoying my poke bowl. Hey, that's just me but I did enjoy the bowls I designed [ahem] from Truffle Poke Bar. They also got wine, sake, beer on tap, and a couple of Japanese canned brews.
