I've heard people could wet from fear, seen it on tv, but never in person. Have you seen it or experienced this? I wanna know what happens cause that seems so random No need to go into details of what scared you, cause trauma and such, just saying you were scared is ok.
Fear wetting or wetting myself due to nervousness is something I have to deal with all my life. I just can't control my full or even semi-full bladder when I get nervous or scared. I knew it was in my head but the fear would consume me, then a few years ago my mother had bowel issues suddenly, and that gave me another fear where I was unable to leave the house. I don't know if I have agoraphobia but the best thing that helped me was talking to my doctor about it.

But peeing from fear or nervousness is not something uncommon either. I have this problem since I can remember and had numerous wetting accident because of that in my life. From just a spurt of pee making panties a bit wet up to full wettings. Some were very embarrassing too.
The sympathetic nervous system responds to fear with fight, flight, or freeze, but those responses include lots of smaller reactions. One of these reactions includes turning off the part of your brain that maintains the sphincter with keeps your pee and poo in.
This fear didn't really have a big effect on my life until last year when I started becoming severely anxious when out in public because I was scared that I would need to pee when I'm out and there would be no toilet where I'm at. I did exposure therapy and forced myself to leave the house which was helping progressively.
