He was sentenced to prison for 20 years and felt it was “harsh”

A man who forced his own daughter to have sex with him and his wife said that he never “had second thoughts or guilt” about the sexual abuse.
Amanda has confronted her father for the first time since she was 13 when she was rescued by police, after he had used her to make sexually explicit videos and photos for him to sell.
“I never had second thoughts or guilt after my first time with Amanda,” he said on the Dr. Phil show .
He admitted that he sexually abused his biological daughter for year after claiming he realised he would profit financially from such a heinous crime.
“I admit that I was sexually active with my daughter through her teenage years. When Amanda was about 11, I realised the money-making potential. I started grooming her the day she was born,” he said.
Both Jim and Justine were arrested in 1996, and both were sentenced to 20 years for sexually assaulting and exploiting their daughter.
An emotional Amanda recalled how they would film her performing sexual acts after having plied her with alcohol.
“Jim told me with the money we would make I could go to college and do whatever I wanted,” she explained.
“He would say sexual things to try and turn me on.”
Amanda was horrified to learn that her biological father only claimed to remember abusing his daughter five times.
“It should have been burned into my memory as much as it was into yours,” he told her.
When questioned by Dr. Phil about how that made her feel, she asked him directly:
“Through what span? What exactly would you deem as abuse? Grooming them for prostitution and sexually explicit videos to be sold worldwide. Was that not abuse? My face plastered on some form of sex doll somewhere...”
“No,” he shrugged, explaining that he was talking about the physical acts.
Jim revealed that he had already been making amateur pornography with his then wife Justine since the eighties.
“I encountered some pictures of teenage girls having sex, I showed them to Justine and Amanda and that began the discussion. Amanda showed an interest, I mistook her childlike curiosity for a genuine interest,” he said.
Jim claimed that he would research other young girls, of Amanda's age, and tried to replicate that with his daughter.
“I didn't see her as my daughter, I saw her as a person playing a role,” Jim said.
Of his lengthy sentence for the heinous crimes that have impacted Amanda's whole life, he said: “I felt I wasn't causing any harm. I felt the sentence was harsh... Twenty years was a bit much.”
He even complained that he had been “exploited, taken advantage of [and] beaten up” in prison.
He disputed his former wife's claims that he forced her to make Amanda have sex with them.
“Neither Justine nor me saw an issue with it,” Jim said.

Bengaluru: Don’t even wait for a second when you know that you are a victim of sexual abuse, Shrija (name changed) appeals to society. “I succumbed to fear, parents and social stigma and bore with it for years. The result was that my husband, who abused me, was also abusing our child,” she says.
“Now, I am fighting. I couldn’t believe when my own parents abandoned me for coming out against sexual abuse. They thought that I could put up with that, but I decided I could not. I want my husband punished for inhuman acts he subjected me and my child too. Whatever the cost, I will fight this battle,” she says.
Her child, who became a victim of sexual abuse, cannot feel any pain of wounds and cuts as she was subjected to extreme sexual abuse.
Deccan Chronicle accessed the accounts of sexual horror that the mother and daughter went through. The nine-year-old girl was asked to write what happened to her. After counselling for a long time, what the girl wrote left everyone shocked.
The girl wrote, “I don’t want my father anymore in my life. I do not want to see my father’s face anymore in my life. He did many bad things to me and my mother. He forced himself on my mother many times. He has torn my mother’s dress 3 or 4 times. And I have seen her writhe in pain.
“I saw it happen many times at night. He threw me out of the room on many occasions. I peeped and saw what was happening to my mother. He tore my dress many times. He shouted at my mother many times when he was doing bad things to my mother. Some days he did not give food to my mother but gave me nice food and things. Sometimes he told my mother to go out of the house. He did many bad things to me for 2 years. When I was alone in the house on Saturdays, my Dadu and Dadi were not there in the house or my Dadu was alone and gone out, he did bad things to me.
“My father removed my dress and forced himself on me. He took me to get five star chicken, burger and pizza and on all those days he did bad things to me. Some days he brought me from school and did bad things to me. I had pain when he did bad things to me for the first time and three or four times. Later on I had no pain.”
Mother’s account: “As I am living amidst several uncertainties and deepest pain I am writing these notes about my life. I want my husband punished. I want my daughter to lead a normal life.
“I never wanted to get married and I was compelled to get married to my husband, who is a demon in disguise. Not only he made me a sex slave but he also continuously raped my daughter.
“I was shocked during initial days of counselling of me and my child by learning that my husband had sexually abused her. It was a horrible experience narrating the pains I and my girl went through to the police, judge and the counsellor.
“I had also thought of ending my life on many occasions due to the repeated forcible painful sex. I started to overcome the horrified fearful, painful sex life after filing the complaint. My mother was brainwashed and she tried to force me to drop the case. The letter written by my daughter is making me cry every night. I cry for sending my daughter forcibly with her father who lured her with chocolates.
“The second most painful event of my life is my husband’s repeated unnatural sex in the presence of my daughter. I underwent untold mental trauma, physical pain, disturbance in sleep and loss of appetite because of unnatural sex.
“Many times our daughter would get up at night and cry. My husband would forcibly lift her out of the bedroom and throw her on the sofa.”
The complaint has been forwarded to the President, Chief Justice of India and Chief Justice of Karnataka by the victims.
