Where are the H scenes in each route?
This is the central community hub for all Fate and Type-Moon works. Including Fate Stay Night and everything TM-related. For everything related to Fate, including Fate/stay night or its spin-offs. Fate/Zero, Fate/hollow ataraxia, Fate/Extra, Fate/EXTELLA, Fate/Grand Order, Fate/Apocrypha, Fate/Strange Fake, The Case Files of Lord El-Melloi II, Fate/Requiem, Fate/type Redline, etc., discuss all of these and more on this subreddit.
I am playing through the VN for the first time and would like to see both the H scenes and the alternates. Is it possible to save, read the h scene, then reload the save and turn off h scenes to read the alternate? Also, as with my post title where are the scenes so I know when to do this?
Fate H scene 1: About halfway through after you escape from the castle Einzbern, and leave Archer behind, to hide in the shed
2: Near the end when you and Saber get back to the house from your date after having a fight, splitting up, reuniting, making up, and beating Gilgamesh
UBW:Near the end when you're just about to head to the final battle and Rin calls you to her room.
Specifically for HF: Day 5, after the second intermission. Day 9, as Shirou goes back to his room for the night. Day 11, after returning home from patrol. Day 12, after the second intermission. Yes, that's more than the other routes put together. It makes sense in context.
When the voices stop and the soundtrack makes you feel like you're in an aquarium, you know you're in the H scene. But either way you can always go back and if you've seen a scene before you can skip it, so you can skip to where you want to be.
As far as saving before a scene - you need to save in the scene before the H scene in order to swap into the other scene, and the scene transitions are a little hard to pick unless they're intermissions. As such, it's probably easier to skip through chunks from an earlier save rather than saving when you think stuff is getting steamy.

i play my comp in a fairly busy part of my home, and i would like to know where some of those scenes are located so i can avoid being in the area at the time of said scenes.

If you have the voice patch, theen whenever the voices stop talking and Shirou is around is a very good sign of impending sex. I can post the day number and chapter titles when I get home.
I'm home! Here's the sex scenes. Fate Day 11 - Boy meets girl and girl Day 14 - Temporary Dream UBW Day 15 - Either Rin's Proposal (lethal dose) or The Two's Choice Mind and body HF Day 5 - Shapeless Island Day 9 - Connection of Bodies Day 11 - Connection of minds Day 12 - Mind's thirst There are a few other scenes that take away some voices HF Day 8 - Interlude - Pupa There's no CG but Sakura masturbates Day 14 - Interlude - Foolish or Interlude - Trash This is an attempted rape by Shinji. only 1 line is cut IIRC. No sexual CG Outside of the last 2, they are very easy to spot. So you can stop playing if others are near.
