Fashion Magazines Submission List
As a photographer myself, I know how hard it can be to do a fabulous fashion or beauty editorial and then try to figure out where to submit it.
Questions like; Which fashion magazine will it fit? What type of magazine do I want it in? Print or online? How should I go about submitting it? etc. etc. Will start racing through your mind.
If you are like me, at this point, you want to give up and just publish them on social media and be done with it.
Well, for months now I have been compiling a large list of fashion magazines and beauty magazines that are always looking for submissions and ready to take a look at your editorials. So hopefully we have made your life just a bit easier.
Before submitting your editorials blindly to many different magazines, we recommend that you take a look at each one you are submitting to. If your style and look of editorial does not match the style and look of the magazine, the chances are high that your submission will not be accepted.
Also, be a good submitter and follow the guidelines each magazine has laid out in how they want you to submit. If they don’t want zip files, then don’t send them. Otherwise you run the risk of your submission being deleted and unseen. So PLEASE follow the magazines submission guidelines.
With that out of the way, I am happy to share with you Fashion Magazines that take Submissions.
Since there are different types of magazines; from those you can find on the newsstands, to those that are only online, and all in between; and some photographers only like to submit to a certain type, I have taken the time to separate the magazines into groupings so that you can focus on the ones you would like to submit to. One of the most effective ways to enhance and further your photography career is to have your work published. In the fashion photography niche, magazine submission opportunities are often the best way to start building your body of printed material.
Submitting to a fashion magazine requires you to create an editorial. The process of developing an editoria l requires you as the photographer to source a creative team. This includes working with a model, makeup artist and stylist to bring your vision to life.
Once you have your team on board and an idea in mind – you can shoot your project. Lucy’s Magazine is an online and print fashion magazine.
Their submission process includes the option of submitting for Editorial Print or Online Webitorials.
For Print, you will need to include 6-20 images with approximately 6-10 looks. For Web features, you will need to include 6-20 images with 4-10 looks. You will send completed editorials to them and they must be unpublished and exclusive at the time of submission.

They publish editorials from up and coming, new talent as well as established photographers.

They require 6-20 images with 5 looks for beauty and 6 looks for fashion. The submissions are on going and have no specific theme, but they do preference editorials that are in season.

They are a digital only publication that releases 4 issues per year. Each issue has a theme and a deadline for submission. They also accept submissions for their Webitorial features.
